Started with penile inflammation, ended with Peyronie

Hi there,

I'm 25 years old male who has been suffering from Peyronie over the past two years, at least.

Long story short, at the very beginning, I got a long-term inflammation of my penis, which was described by a number of urologists as balanitis (some of them suggested that it might have been lichen sclerosus or something). So, I tried to treat this inflammation, while having numerous tests and biopsies, but to no avail - it seemed that the problem was much more serious than expected (no treatment worked whatsoever and I had no STD). The only thing that did help me was circumcision. A few weeks after the surgery, I noticed that there was a bizarre bend to my penis (about 50 degrees or something) but I didn't pay much attention as I was more concerned that I might have had a lichen sclerosus.

Having visited tens of urologists and dermatologists, it was established that it wasn't lichen sclerosus or anything like that (inflammation went away but the glans became kind of whitish with some occassional red spots on it - more or less normal). However, then I realised that the new curvature I got was not just strange but really abnormal making any sexual activities quite problematic.

In Belgium, I found a urologist, and he confirmed that I had Peyronie (back then there was only a tiny plaque on the left side). He suggested me to do several Xiapex injections and I agreed right away because I was really concerned. Briefly, I got the last three shots remaining in Belgium (because the medication was removed from the European market some time ago) but they didn't do much. The last shot even broke the plaque (I masturbated a week after the injection - yes, it was stupid), and a blood bubble emerged under the skin (I freaked out as hell, to be honest). But the curvature didn't worsen anyway (lucky me).

At some point I started doing traction with a penile device, which had been previously discouraged by the doctor - he said that it was useless unless many-many hours invested into in. Sure thought I, discipline my second name, so I committed myself to wear it for at least 7 hours daily. What can I say? The curvature has improved a bit (based on pictures I took) but it's debatable if it was the device that did the trick.

December 2020 was horrible. Having finished my studies, I went back to my hometown to visit my family and celebrate the holidays. Well, I didn't diet at all and occasionally smoked and drank. Plus, I started a shock-wave therapy combined with Vitamine E, L-carnitine  and Trental hoping that there  would be some improvement. Before, I had a plaque on the left side and two plaques in the middle, closer to the base. Now, I've realised that there's a new plaque forming in the middle closer to the top and then a tiny one on the back of the penis.

It's really debilitating because I expected that my Peyronie was chronic but now it seems that something has triggered even more plaques. Also, I've been trying  to look for underlying conditions over the past two years (trying to explain the initial inflammation but now Peyronie as well) and realised that I have many symptoms similar to those of Rheumatoid arthritis, Behcet disease, lupus or something like that. I went to a rheumatologist, and he told me that it was possible that I had RA or some other kind of autoimmune disease. As a result, I've recently done some blood tests to know if I have any of these problems but still waiting for the results to come back...

Hypothesis: I believe the initial inflammation had been caused by some form of an autoimmune disease and, while I was trying to cure the inflammaiton (the symptom not the cause), the condition got worse (plus worsened by circumcision) and I got Peyronie as a result

N.B I was also taking vitamine D in high doses for a prolonged period of time but don't think it affected it in any way

Now I have a curvature of about 30-40 degrees to the left, hourglass deformity; and recently I've realised that I also have upward curvature of about 40*, oh well

That is tough to bear. I am a fellow mate your afe who totally gets what you are going through. I just have one recommendation,  please order yourself a RestoreX traction device from USA. For just 30 mins a day... you will start seeing results in 4 months both in length and curve correction.

Hi there GaussRifle,

I appreciate your empathy and words of support, it means a lot. Yes, I'm about to order one via VirtualSurvivor, hopefully I'll get it in a few weeks. For how long have you been using it and has there been much progress with flattening the curve?

Yes, out of all treatments including xiaflex injections. I feel the best treatment so far has been restore x . It has reduced my curve by about 15 degrees.

so, this is my curvature as of today. I've recently received my RestoreX device and will try to reduce this curvature and indentation that you can see on the left side. The curvature isn't too bad (not always though) but the indentation and this 'twisting' makes it really annoying. Going to abstain from sexual life for quite some time until there's some form of normality, oh well

Crylit, honestly speaking it's not too bad. Your curve and indentation is very minor in my opinion. My indentation and curve is worse than you and my urologist told me I was relatively mild to what he has seen with other patients.... Lol. So you can definitely chill. Do RestoreX carefully, follow the manual and don't overdo it, follow the protocol and expect to see results in 3-6 months of daily. Let me know if you have any RestoreX or other questions along the way, I can help.

Thanks for the response! Do you think it will improve my indentation? Because I've read that it does help in some people but, of course, there are people who do not respond to this treatment. As my plaques are not calcified yet and so remain flexible, I think I might have good chances of improving it.
