What happens to the implant whilst flaccid?

Just a quick, and very basic question, what happens to the tubes when they are deflated?  Naturally the penis retracts into the body when flaccid.  Mine to a greater extent than many others; I've always been a grower, not a shower.

So do the tubes retracts into your body when not erect, or is there something that stops this happening?

I ask as one of the problems I currently have is chronic aching pain, which is made worse when the penis retracts to an extent where a previous graft and residual plaque retracts into My body.  If an implant would stop this, it may also ease the ache.  Otherwise if the tubes also retract I can imagine it being very uncomfortable.

I am sorry, your penis does what?
This sounds like a whole other condition on its own...

This is hilarious. I think he meant penis becomes smaller and moves toward body not that it retracts and goes inside body lol

With all implants but one, the difference between the inflated penis and deflated penis is about 3/4 of an inch.  First, we need to get our terminology correct. There are no tubes in the penis.  There are two cylinders that fill the cavernosa.  Tubes are much smaller and connect the reservoir -> pump ->The cylinders.  Only the cylinders change shape or rigidness from pumping or inflating.

When the cylinders are deflated the contracting penis typically causes them to crimp or crumple.

The LGX currently made by Boston Scientific has cylinders that contract in length so the deflated length is shorter compared to the inflated length.  Even the LGX probably results in a longer "flaccid" than before implant.  Men with implants are "showers" not "growers."

Hi Hawk.  Thanks for the response.  Yes I meant the cylinders when I previously stated tubes.

With regards to the retraction I mentioned, when flaccid, and especially if cold, my penis shrinks.  However, it can be to such an extent that the graft I had during the Lue procedure 3 years ago, shrinks to within my pubic area, which then causes some discomfort.  I appreciate I am opening myself up to ridicule, but I'm just worried that the cylinders may do the same.

I'm not sure if the below link works, but it shows an illustration of a flaccid penis where you can clearly see that a portion of it sits inside the body.

I guess my question is, how far do the cylinders sit within the section internally from your pubic bone?  Or why keeps them in position?

I see...the cyclinders fill the entire length of the corpora cavernosa.

Sorry for asking such basic questions.  But I now believe this could be the solution to my daily discomfort.

We do not mind basic questions.  We do however encourage you to read a couple of journals that seem somewhat similar to your profile.

Remember - The KEY in the success of an implant is finding a high volume (100 - 300 per year) surgeon to perform the surgery.

Thanks, Hawk.

I have read Roddy's journal several times, which has given me hope that all is not lost.
