Hey all, newbie here. You can read my introduction here (https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,17218.msg149150.html#msg149150).

I have a question for you all who have been battling with Peyronie's for a while now. The onset/rapid progression of what I believe to be Peyronies Disease started happening about two weeks ago for me. During this time frame I'd been taking 3000mg of Vitamin C (1000mg 3x daily) and Collagen Protein (1x scoop a day) along with non-stop exercising through strenuous biking (potentially irritating my pudenal nerve), ab/core workouts (including hanging ab-lifts, mountain climbers, etc) and a bit of rough masturbation (which I believe to be the "trigger" for my onset).

Does anyone know if these two supplements can worsen Peyronie's plaques and other symptoms? I currently cut them out of my regime after noticing my issues and now my supplement routine looks like this:

- Active Hexose Correlated Compound 1x a day (1500 mg)
- Elderberry Immune Support 1x a day(400mg Elderberry, 6mg zinc)
- Vitamin E Pure dl-Alpha 1x a day (180mg)
- Qunol Ultra CoQ10 1x a day (68mg of Vitamin E, 100mg of Coenzyme Q10)
- L-Arginine 1-2x a day (1000mg each dose - can be inconsistent with this as I notice breathing becomes slightly more difficult for me, may be due to other vascular issues I'm unaware of)
- Men's Multivitamin x1 a day (Vit A, C, D3, Vitamin E, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, B6, Folate, B12, Biotin, Pantothenic Acid, Iodine, Zinc, Selenium, Sodium)
- Tumeric/Cucumin 1x a day (500mg Tumeric Blend)
- Hims Biotin Builder 1x a day (Vit A, C, D, E, Niacin, B6, Folate, B12, Biotin, Pantothenic Acid)

Thanks for any insight.

I don't know about for Peyronies but folks with Dupuytrens Contracture (related hand condition) are warned to stay away from all collagen supplements and vitamin C high dosing, which promotes collagen. Glucosamine and chondroitin are also to be avoided for similar reasons. I believe High dose vitamin C helped trigger my Dupuytrens although I am genetically predisposed (family history) and believe I likely would have gotten it at some point.
46 years old. Developed pain in penis Sept 2022. Slight curve (I think!). Diagnosed 2 weeks later with a palpable small plaque. Flaccid ultrasound was clear. On 5mg Cialis daily. Arginine. Debating Pentox, traction and coq10. Family history.

Yeah, I'm not a big believer in vitamins/supps in the first place, but I have always stayed away from stuff that claims to promote collagen ... I'd steer clear just to rule that possibility out.

51 yrs. old, multiple auto-immune conditions. First episode of Peyronies Disease in 2002. Recurred a couple times since. Over the years I have tried Topical Verapamil, Iontophoresis, all the supps and Cialis + Pentoxifylline. Still functional, always worried.

I would steer clear of the dl-alpha tocopherol, and, i googled the qunol, and hims, which also look to be using that, if not the multivitamin too.  It's arguably the worst choice for vit E , although the cheapest, as it includes the non biologic l isomer, none of the non alpha forms, and no tocotrienols.
Vit C is typically reported with benefits for healing and scarring. Is there some evidence for the idea about a negative effect ?
Age 57, Onset 2010, 2" shortening, shrinking and angulation of glans, weaker erections, 30 degree bend. Mild pain few months, but far from worst symptom. Tried many ideas, not just from here, but not consistently. Moderate improvement, maybe 40%

I would not be too worried about these supplements triggering Peyronies Disease. Vitamin C should be harmless as its water-soluble and the collagen you get from protein supplements is not necessarily the same 'bad' collagen as the one that builds up during Peyronies Disease. There are many different types. I.e. taking collagen orally does not mean that you run the risk of developing a plaque or getting a larger plaque in your penis just because the plaque contains collagen.

I am more inclined to think that the non-stop biking or the 'rough' masturbation could have triggered it, especially if this is something that you did shortly before onset and more intensively than before. But that is just me.
