Hello Fellow Peyrnonie's sufferers.

I was diagnosed with Peyronie's on October 2019 (so over two years now) and have tried the following treatments without consistency: VED, Tamoxifen, daily Tedaliafil, Co-enzyme Q10.

At first, I couldn't sustain a decent erection and lacked confidence to initiate sex with my partner, which was damaging to our relationship. After about a year I gained a little more acceptance / confidence and we started having sex again, and until two weeks ago I was fairly accepting of the condition and thought it had stabilized.

Last month I had a long awaited appointment with a urologist at UCLH London who told me I had plague running all the way along the length of my penis. This was a shock but he said it didn't necessarily make my deformity worse, but that I should resume the use of the VED as I hadn't used it for about ten months. He told me to ensure I pump my penis to maximum erection as many times as possible in 15 minutes, which is what the manufacturer of the VED (Somacorrect) advise.

Last week I injured myself slightly (mild bruising, red spots, swollen cock) which has happened before, so I laid of it for a few days. Then, over the last few days, my cock has started showing signs of a relapse - its as if its at war with itself: engorged veins, pale and withdrawn, and its bending to the right when I am erect.

After a period of stability, I assumed my plaque had calcified and what I was left with wasn't ideal but as my curvature pointed upwards and I could have sex, was something I could live with. I had planned to start pumping every day and buy a Restorex (if I can get one from USA) but now think I have triggered a relapse with the VED device.

I'm now devastated and terrified, like I was two years ago. Has anyone had a similar experience and / or any positive news to share with me?

I am sorry to hear this is happening to you. I am with you and offer my support if that is worth anything. I too have had this kind of relapse after many months however I did not acquire much of a curvature (in a fully erect state there is none but in semi erect there is substantial curvature) but instead I have acquired another indentation like deformity. It really sucks that it seems we are genetically susceptible to it and can get it more often? I am not sure why this is happening in some but Dr Trost said its all about genetics. I am still young so I am not looking forward to having multiple flare ups in my life. I have kind of resigned and do not believe I will have a normal sex life but I still hope for a solution. please keep us updated on further progress

Thank you for the solidarity - you have my empathy and respect also.

In the weeks since this post I decided to do what I would with any other physical injury - leave it alone and rest. I stopped using the VED, started taking tedalafil again to get some oxygen circulating and give me a psychological boost, put my fears aside and had sex with my partner and now have a restorex I plan to start using next week following protocol.

This disease is terrible but I have to remind myself its not terminal and try to focus more on the psychological battle, which we can actually control the outcome of, as opposed to the physical one, which we can't.

You have a great mindset and this will help you get through this! I know that when I was a little too zealous with my VED I would also experience very similar symptoms. I would stop everything and let things calm down before starting m protocol up again. I found that heat therapy for me healed things much quicker. You might want to give it a try.
