Odd case of Peyronies

I am assuming this started from a sexual injury. My ex landed on my erect penis and bent it pretty bad. I thought I had HF until recently I found a small plaque near my anus. It's on the left corpus Cavernosum/spongiosum on the inner penis. Is this an odd place? Anyone have a similar experience?

Semi erect I curve left slightly and flaccid I can have a big curve at times. It is normal when erect but some days the plaque is harder and larger which results in a little loss of length and girth. I am not sure what causes the fluctuations in plaque size and firmness.

Going to start using some topical oils and continue using the toothbrush to break the plaque up. I am also looking into an ultrasound device.

Symptoms: Left curve in flaccid and semi, slight indent near left base, loss of hardness, HF, slight loss of girth and length.
Diagnosed in November of 2022.
Currently taking supplements, cialis and traction.

Plaque can occur anywhere on the tunica, including the area you mention, but since any deformity usually corresponds with the area of plaque, the location you mention is not likely to cause any significant visible or functional deformity as long as the plaque does not spread.  That is also not a likely area to get injured from a female coming down wrong.  Have you been diagnosed by a qualified urologist?

There is no shred of evidence that any topical oils help with plaque.  It is more likely that massage will prevent the inflammation from settling down much like it would if you message any cut or wound.  Keep in mind plaque is just a term for scar tissue.  You can expect as much results from using a toothbrush on penile plaque as you can from using a toothbrush on a surgical scar or any other scar on your body.

So let's just say I have the potential to get rid of the plaque, do I have the best chance of breaking it up by traction and pressing on it, just traction, just pressing on it, or not touching it at all? This plaque could have been here since June so I have no clue if it's grown since then, however it isn't very big and hasn't grown for the month I have noticed it.

I am of the belief ignoring it will keep it the same size and trying to break it up has the potential to at least maybe break it up. If I am wrong here I would be welling to change things up and leave it alone.

I don't think plague can be broken by pressing on it.  I do however think that can cause more inflammation.
If it is still forming it is far better for it to form in a stretched (traction) condition so the plaque will not contract a section of the penis and cause deformity.

By "ultrasound device" do you mean so you can see where the plaque is located or are you aiming to break it down (which is shockwave not ultrasound)

If it's the latter, I personally I wouldn't bother. I had 6 shockwave sessions in a small clinic in Richmond (London) and I don't think they helped at all. Cost me £2,950 and in my opinion it was a complete rip off. I am currently trying to recoup some of the cost but I won't hold my breath. It seems they take anyone's money regardless as they know how desperate people are.

Generally the home use equipment is not going to help - again, mainly cashing in on our  bad luck. You might get a machine that clicks but that's about all it will do unless you are prepared to pay big bucks (we're talking 5 figures here)

As for the toothbrush - I would just use that as it is intended - i.e. cleaning your teeth lol.

He means just what he said, an ultrasound device.  Shockwave devices are unrelated, he's already had to correct someone on that recently.

Thanks for the report about your experience. This seems to backup what others have reported.  Most , or almost all studies do seem positive, but not all, and that seems concerning, I wonder if there is a publication bias. (Positive ones more likely to be published) .
That said, what makes you think home devices would not be effective, when you didn't try one, ie. if a pro device did work, why couldn't a home device?
Age 57, Onset 2010, 2" shortening, shrinking and angulation of glans, weaker erections, 30 degree bend. Mild pain few months, but far from worst symptom. Tried many ideas, not just from here, but not consistently. Moderate improvement, maybe 40%

Is there any reliable clinical data to suggest that ultrasound will break up scar tissue anywhere in the body much less the penis?  I am doubtful that data exists even though ultrasound has been around for decades.
