Normal to have painful erections after starting VED, or is this sign of damage?

I have just started using the VED device. I am in the stable phase, but now I have started getting painful erections again, only after starting the VED therapy. Is this normal? or does that mean I am over pumping?

It is not normal.  Are you over-pumping?  Do you feel any discomfort when pumped up inside of the VED?

The answer should be "NO" to both of those questions.
