Hi all,

I'm new and ever so thankful to have found this forum.  I believe I have Peyronies after overdoing things quite a bit in lockdown.  No one incident that stands out but I started to feel some pain whilst erect.  Didn't give it a huge amount of thought and then about a month later when erect, what I observed scared me more than anything else I've ever seen.  Hourglassing, bent, twisted.  Looked like I'd been mangled.  Thankfully, things settled a little bit with some rest and I ended up with mild pain whilst erect for 6 months and a curve to the left with a dent in the left side, and an upwards hinge effect I think it is called.  The pain has all but subsided so I think I'm between stages as I can't locate any plaque at all yet either.

As I'm sure many have done before, I literally went crazy at trying things.  Bought a Penimaster Pro, a Bathmate, tried Jelqs and started to really make an effort on eating better and trying to pick up my health from within so to speak.  Also trying to get my stress levels, weight and bad habits in check too.  Using heat treatment during the day as well and kegels/reverse kegels.

I'm quite standoffish on taking things so try to keep as natual as possible.  I take a well known multivitamin geared towards reproductive health, a magnesium supplement and use topical Vitamin E, Castor Oil and Arnica Oil.  I have the occasional cup of Kotu Kola tea.

I've tried to keep things steady away with the PMP and VED both in terms of not over doing it and being consistent, but I have found that both seem to aggrevate things.  I'm still trying to understand whether this is my fault for not doing things quite right I don't know.  I had a pretty dramatic improvement when I took a 2 week holiday in August, so wasn't able to continue any treatment and pretty much abstained from any sexual activity as well.  That is when the pain stopped and both curves improved.  I tried to ease back in with using PMP and VED, and found that my curves came back within the week.

I'm just going through a phase of leaving things alone to see if I see a similar improvement again, but given that both treatments are widely seen to be helpful as early as possible I am keen to get back to using them again.  I plan to formulate a modified plan of attack to get started again in the new year.  My goals are to try and resolve the left bend and hourglassing and reduce the upward curve.  My problems have reduced my size in both length and girth in the middle.  Length I desperately don't want to lose but I'm down from about 6 to 5.5.

I've been reading the other threads around the benefits of tumeric and possibly even collagen with great interest.

So, that's me.  I'll probably drop another post about my possible problems with the PMP, and I'll look into the forum guidelines on VED and follow them much more strictly.  Whether I can continue with the bathmate for this or if I have to pick up the SOMACorrect I don't know.

Welcome to the forum Donka.  THANK YOU for completing your signature line.
I am glad you found us and hope that you find the support and information that you are looking for.

Your assessment that the VED and traction make things worse for you are not common although if you are convinced then follow what works for you.

The first help we can give is this link to our Survival guide.  It is important you start here.  It is packed with information and you should read it more than once.  It would be good to print it. --->Peyronies Survival Guide

It will also help you understand the questions you what to ask and the answers you receive.

Welcome Donka to the forum.  I think you should try only using gentle traction and ease your way into getting accustomed to it. When you started it how long were your first sessions? An hour, two, three etc...I have been using the PMP for about a year now with gradual improvement. It is true that being overly enthusiastic can exacerbate things and set us back. I wouldn't give up, but like you say reassess things and start over.  :)  Mikel7

Hi mate, have you been to a Urologist for an opinion
It's a wise firstove, they can confirm Peyronies or help your recovery from injury
June 2021- observed curve
September - increased curve
October - confirmed Peyronies, refered onwards to Peyronies specialist Urologist - November
Meanwhile immediately commenced traction with RestoreX after initial  visit and confirmation

Thank you very much for the warm welcome guys.  I will certainly re-read the survival guide before asking any general type questions about my condition and to talk around ideas I have to tackle it.

I haven't consulted anyone yet no.  There is a rocky road to travel with that one as I have some fairly significant anxiety problems.  Ones that affect daily life, not just seeking help for this.  If the condition continues to develop then matters will be taken out of my hands.  At the moment, sex is still relatively normal but I know that I'm only 6 months in and that things could change dramatically still yet.

With VED and traction, I'm certainly not saying they make things worse.  I think it will be very much a misuse thing, even though I really thought I was taking it really easy.  Whatever I did, definitely did start to introduce a little bit of discomfort back and undid any straightening that I think had taken place.  With traction I started out with infrequent hour long sessions, slowly building to 3x 2 hour sessions in the day, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday to rest.  With the hip belt it seems to go from everything hanging loose and even go so far as to say curved which worried me could start to introduce a different injury.  The next step up so that at least I was pointing in a single, straight direction whilst wearing the belt makes the injured side of my penis feel taught and solid which I think could be too much.  It seemed to introduce a bit of a minor mass build up on the opposite side to the dent and right down at the base.  I can't just buy the rod expander system as an add-on here in the UK to try that.  I figured the belt was the easiest to hide and wear so that I'd be much more likely to wear it properly.  I realise now that at least if I had the rods I could feel what certain pressure amounts feel like and compare with others on here and adjust the belt to match.  I'm not convinced with the belt either that stretching everything in the opposite direction to my curve and applying the most amount of pressure to the site of the injury is the right thing to do either.

I think I'll probably try to get back to VED, taking it down another few notches on the pumping, and see if I can justify to myself paying out for the SOMA.  I do have some very specific questions around the PMP so I'll get a post up shortly about that.  Basically around the fact that I bought just the belt version and I have absolutely no way to determine the pressure I'm applying.  I'm definitely not starting up with the PMP until the new year though.

As a minor aside, I mentioned I was throwing quite a lot at tackling this.  I'd have to say that some of the things I've added to my diet certainly appear to have an effect on my circulation and the morning benefits that come with that.  Beetroot, tumeric, pomegranite and watermelon namely.  I'm going to try and keep a record and if I find any correlation I'll do an 'Improvements' thread in the future listing out my entire regime.

The forum came up on a quick DuckGo search when I was specifically researching the PMP and how it could help me, at the time in comparison with the Phallosan.
