Have anyone heard about more studies with this drug?

I've heard a lot of exciting stuff about Verteporfin. According to this article in August 10th, 2021, scientists at Stanford university are seeking approval to begin clinical trials of Verteporfin on babies who had cleft palates by the end of 2021.

They've had impressive results with both mice and pigs using Verteporfin, it could even restore lost hair follicles from the scars on those creatures as well. For fricks sake if this is one of those drugs that magically works on every creature but humans I'm gonna scream at the sky for 5 whole minutes then go back inside and play Fallout 4 as usual.

Verterporfin is anti scarring if the scarring process has just initiated. It will do nothing for existing scars !
In most peyronies cases , people do not know that the scarring process has begun until they see deformity like a bend or an indentation. Therefore, it is of little value since it doesn't help those with existing scars the slightest. ! Dr Trost on his male fertility and peyronies Clinique has ka ready posted his critique on verteporfin, which reiterates what I just said.

Where this drug can be useful and testing will come in time, is the anti scarring effect after an implant infection. It may be able to stop the scarring if an implant is removed preventing size low.. This needs to be tested and is purely speculation at this point.

They actually already said they're looking at ways to use it on existing scars. Besides a lot of people who suspect they're in the acute phase of peyronies would still benefit a lot from anti scarring drugs if any scars were still forming. People in a chronic phase could also still benefit a lot too by having something that can prevent their scar from getting worse if they injure it again.

I wonder if it would do anything for people with chronic pain related to a possible scar. My only issue is with pain so that would be a win for me if it did.

There's nothing quite like that on the market yet so that would revolutionize treatment for peyronies more than anything else ever has if Verteporfin had the same effect on humans as it did on pigs and mice. The only similar thing I can think of to this was Xiaflex which turned out to be really dangerous and often didn't do much of anything beyond give people erectile dysfunction or mess with their nerves
