Traction worked on me!

Hi everyone!

I have been reading some posts and wanted to share my experience with this awful disease. I am from Madrid and not very used to writing in English, but I will try to make it clear.

My case started in March/April 2020, so it's 1 year and a half till now. At that moment, I was 26, and I recall noticing it while masturbating. I used to partly obstruct the base of my penis, and this time when I did that, I felt a light ache on the left side of my glans (never felt it again later). When I looked down, I saw that it was already bent. I don't remember any trauma or pain before, and I doubt it to be because of masturbation.

My theory for what happened to me is because of the circumcision surgery when I was 15, and more precisely, the injection of the anesthesia, as I recall it was in the same spot. I also recall jelqing sometimes, without knowing about its risks, just before my injury. I did it because I had some sequels of the bandages that I used after the circumcision surgery. The tightness of them left me with some hourglass form but only when flaccid, so I used to make pressure trying to fix it. Maybe this also had something to do with my Peyronies Disease.  ???

In my visit to a 2nd urologist (and andrologist) 4 months after my first symptoms, he told me to start with traction. The device that he recommended me was "androgenital" but as I have no money, so I used the "proextender" from aliexpress (I measured the tension though before using it because I didn't want to injure myself more. If you use this device, just make sure not to go far from the first mark, as it is not well calibrated).

So, I started with traction at my 5th month of Peyronies Disease, with a 15-degree left and a bit downwards angle affecting the top of my penis. Only noticed by the position of my glans (no pain). Since before my Peyronies Disease, I have had a girlfriend, so I usually had sex (other cause?), and I did not stop because of that. The angle made it more difficult, so I had to always use the hand to guide the head when penetrating (this is still happening but lighter). Anyway, she understood my problem and gave me support, trying to make it feel meaningless.

Thank heaven, traction did well for me! ;D I did it 3 hours a day for 8 months and started with low tension, increasing the weight a bit every month, although I even saw results from that first month. In 3 months, it reduced the angle to 6 degrees (apparently straight at sight from the top), but it was still bent down. I thought it was because of the extender way of grabbing the glans, so I bought a suction cup for the extender and continued with that system until the end of the treatment by June (4 months with the cup).  My improvements have remained since then. I think I haven't lost any length, but the first inch down my glans has lost girth, and I think that the silicon protection that I used with the cups made it worse because I can feel an indentation just where it adjusted. So, here I am, trying to get my girth back and to get it even straighter, if possible, by dissolving my 1cm plaque.

I know my Peyronies Disease is a light case, anyway I got very annoyed at the beginning, and my life seemed to end at some point, but my improvements and the thing that it is possible to keep improving makes it easy to carry on for me. And although I want to get it better, I am currently self-confident with it.

P.S. Thank you all, and congratulations on the great community that I find in this forum. It is amazing to join a place like this! :)

Welcome Sejes to the forum!  It sounds like you have had some success with your traction and your story is welcomed here.  Your English is just fine so no worries.  If you could please fill out your signature line it would give others a quick glance at your peyronies treatments and where you are today --> It's hard to remember your case details out of 20,000 members.  You can find instructions here! - https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,10819.0.html.

There is also the survival guide -->https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,3180.msg44057.html#msg44057 . This is a comprehensive guide of different treatments of peyronies and goes into great detail which is more that a lot of Dr's know.

So it sounds like you are saying that after your circumcision you were left with an hourglass form?  Also that your urologist wanted you to try traction and that was successful in the end. You just want to try something else to get your girth back?   Look into VED therapy as it could benefit you even more.  Search the forum and read up on it.  There is a permanent posting in the VED section of the forum that lists what you need and how to perform it correctly.  It is great to have you here .  :)  Mikel7

Congrats man that's great news. I've had some temporary hourglassing and have always been able to remove it with traction by hand.
Some men aren't as fortunate, but glad to hear it man.

The fact is that I lost girth due to Peyronies Disease, but I think the 4 months I was with the cup made it worse because of the silicone protection as it grabbed just where my affection is. I leave at the end the link that shows the product so you can understand me better. As you can see, there are some cups that you can use to grab the glans and make the traction. The thing is, you need some protection to avoid blebs due to the vacuum made to hold it. I used the small silicone protection that is on the left, covering my whole glans and a bit more of the distal part of my penis. And the thing is that it is very stretchy, so it compressed a lot all the top, but it doesn't limit the traction but the circumferential direction. So, I see too much of a coincidence to have the indentation just in the same spot that ended the edge of the silicone protection. And that is why I think that, as Peyronies Disease is due to a loss of flexibility in the tissues, the thing that I was compressing just the part where my affection is made it lose even more flexibility. Then, I recommend all of you to avoid devices that make any compression just in the point of your plaque.

The thing of my previous hourglass form is not related to my Peyronies Disease because that was in the middle of my penis, and my Peyronies Disease is at the tip. After my circumcision surgery with 15, I used to hold tight my bandage (a gauze and a round of tape) every day after the disinfection of the wound, so it wouldn't slip along my daily activity. I was wearing that constriction all day, even to sleep for 2 or 3 weeks. From that moment, and after healing completely, I noticed that only when half-low-erected (after or before sex) or when long-flaccid (after a shiver or peeing sometimes) I had that hourglass form, and I didn't like it.

So, I used to do jelqing (without any knowledge of the risks) trying to recover the original flexibility of that part. For better and for worse, now with the Peyronies Disease, I just have a pyramid form when half-erect, no more hourglass. I still like it when full hard anyway. Even so, I would love to return my girth and get it straighter, or at least partly, so I would check for better treatment here. Thank you very much for your advice, @Mikel7!  ;D

I also have that pyramid form from doing manual traction on the semi erect hourglass. Have you rid yourself of it?
20, late 2020 masturbation injury leads to semi erect hourglass, then try manual stretching leads to pudendal neuralgia like symptoms, corpus spongiosum and glans do not fill, severe ed- floppy unstable erections that feel like water balloon .

I had a similar effect from traction using the silicon sleeve. I still think its one of the safest ways to do traction, however it is very logical the compression force around the glans could lead to a loss of girth there.

Unfortunately it seems to be the best option for traction so I'm not sure how one would avoid it.
Onset of pain in March 2021
Progressed to loss of girth to dent under the glans left side

Been doing daily heat, traction, pentox, ved, cialis since initial onset of pain

Currently still experiencing pain and dent unchanged
