Hello everyone,

I was diagnosed with Peyronie's when I was 17 years old (26 years old now). Very very very difficult time in my life (and still is). After my diagnosis as you can imagine I fell into a very deep depression and self medicated with drugs & booze for many years which further harmed my mental health. I've always had very poor mental health but I've scraped by up until now. After my diagnosis at 17years old I hopped online and tried to research as much as I possibly could. After not finding anything promising I gave up... well I'm back and I wanna try to fight this/learn to accept the condition. Luckily I can still have sex (missionary & prone bone) I however have pretty weak erections dependent on the position (risky for a girl to be on top & penis is too curved/too weak for doggy). What are some ways to improve erection quality? Do VED's and traction therapy improve erection rigidity? Do they help with restoring lost girth? Or are they snake oil? I should mention my curve is upwards and to the right. Are there any other options I should consider that provide legitimate results? Since I'm in the chronic or "stable" phase does that impact what direction I should take as far as treatment goes? One last thing I should mention, I've surprisingly have had a pretty crazy sex life as far as the amount of partners I've had yet I still suffer an immense amount of psychological pain due to the fact that I can't have a "normal" sex life, how do you cope with the feelings of inadequacy? I'm literally at the point where I'm tortured by my thoughts of not being enough sexually for a woman since I can't have rough sex, sex standing up, her on top, etc. It kills me and has brought me close to suicide recently. I need help. God bless.
Diagnosed: 17yo
Current Age: 26yo
Situation: Curved Upwards & Right
Sex Possible: Yes (limited positions)
Erection Quality: Position Dependent

Sadsituation, welcome to the forum.  We have all been there from 17 years old to 87 years old.

Have you read the Peyronies Survival guide on this board.  It is critical.  If you read it carefully, more than once, you will learn a few things you did not know.

From your post, it is clear that at least 50% of your suffering is psychological.  I think you would agree.  That is the part you have the most influence over.  Are you willing to put in work to change your mental state, realizing if you don't change something, then nothing is going to change?

Give us some information on everything you have tried for improved erections and the results.

Welcome Sadsituation to the forum.  I will concur with Hawk on everything he said. You say that your sex life has been great and now with your diagnosis you have to make some changes. First I wouldn't recommend the booze and drug thing.  I know it medicates and soothes temporarily but in the long run does way more damage.

Read the survival guide and tell your self that you are going to make it! Don't concentrate on the negative things!  Do you realize that since you are young you have the ability to heal much faster than us "older" guys.  Change some of your life habits and get with a plan of action.  VED and traction does help a lot of us.   Change your mindset and possibly your screen name also.  Remember that each new day is fresh with no mistakes in it,  :)    Mikel7
