Suggestion forbooks?

Can anyone suggest me some books that helped you to deal with depression,anxiety related issues or any other book that you were/are reading while dealing with this disease.It would be very helpful.

Alexsan, you are to be commended for doing something proactive rather than just hoping things will get better without you changing anything.  Just like Peyronies Disease is a healing mechanism gone wrong,  depression is a survival mechanism gone wrong.  In addition, they feed each other.  You have to defy the impulse to withdraw.  Unfortunately, our brains are better at keeping us alive than keeping us happy.  There are ways to change that.

I would recommend any good book or great counselor who relies on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Thanks Hawk. Yes, that's the course I was thinking of. That instructor, Laurie Santos, also has an interesting podcast called "The Happiness Lab." It's good for people who like podcasts.

I am not overly impressed with her delivery but the value of the information she presents is irrefutable.  I will more men here took advantage of that course.

I watched one of her hour presentations at Aspen.  It was a good refresher.  The thing the course gives you is application assignments.  No matter how much of this you know, it does not help one bit.  It has to be applied.
