Hi everybody,

I've been lurking on this online forum for a couple of days. I've read many different stories and learned many different things. It is nice and welcoming to see such a group of people getting help for each other.
I knew about penis fracture (however never realised what it truly was) and saw curved penises (on the porn sites, of course and never wondered on how did that happen).
I am 24 years old male. I have strong erections, I jerk off almost every day. I am not very gentle with my dick, sometimes erections and dick on its own distracts me and is very uncomfortable in my underwear while sitting in my office all day long. So I try to fix it and stretch it or put to the other position through my pants not very gently.
So here I am. I can't recall the exact date when I suffered an injury. I've been quite busy throughout September so I didn't focus on my dick a lot. However, like 10 days ago, I went to jerk off and while jerking up and down my erect penis, it was painful on the left side of it. I felt some sort of extra stuff on that side, soft stuff in fact, so I thought that I might have jerked off too intensely previous time or maybe stretched or strained it in my underwear throughout the day too much. Oh well, but it wasn't painful when not erect and it didn't bother me after jerking off. So I took a break for 3 days and then jerked off in the morning. To start with, the pain was gone, still some sort of tissue defect was palpable on the left side of penis. Then after few minutes pain has come back. Then I jerked off in the evening and pain was even stronger, and I felt soft tissue (probably fascia) with my palm under the skin of my penis.  Next day I started googling it because it was something that I haven't experienced in my life for so long. So I found information about penis fracture. Only then I inspected my penis and saw something bad about it. However, I can't recall the popping sound nor strong pain. I can still get erect but I think that erection has diminished since then (probably due to fear). I didn't see any significant bruising (I don't look at my penis casually very in depth but I would have seen it if there was something blue or whatever). So now I am managing this condition conservatively (trying to rest my penis). There is a little bit of redness and darker color where that lump is. But there is a little bit of redness on the other side as well. I am sending a picture. - https://imgbox.com/Va620oPX - That darkness below lump on the left side is a shadow due to lighting. I don't know what to do. PLEASE, help me.

Hi JonathanIII and welcome.  Sorry you have an injury but glad you found us here.  The good news is that without a direct trauma to your dick it would be very unlikely that you fractured it.  Perhaps some overuse based on the frequent and aggressive JO.  If that's the case, then you've absolutely done the best thing by resting it.  Saw your pic - can see some bulging out on the left side.  Does that fill in when you're erect? Or is there still a bulge or defect along the shaft? That's the real question.
The best way to find out exactly what's going on is to go to a Urologist and strongly request/demand an ultrasound including a Doppler, which measures blood flow to the tissues.  But if your erection looks normal and the bulge goes away after you've rested it a few days, I think you're in the clear.

Hi, GreekGuy85. Thanks for your answer. I really don't want to go to urologist, it's like a last resort option. Answering your question, when the penis gets erect, that bulge becomes less apparent. It probably stretches out. No pain on erection or when touching that place. However I don't masturbate it as I'm afraid it will become painful once I do. I don't know whether it is due to fear of injury, or injury itself (whatever it might be), erection is not rock hard and not long lasting, maybe it is due to fact that I am not trying to stimulate it and I'm afraid of this situation.

jonathanIII:

Hey there. Not saying it was your case, but you can definitely have a mild penile fracture that doesn't result in bruising, discoloration or massive swelling. that was my case. Just a small hematoma. You should 100% try to see a a urologist asap to confirm this and maybe get a ultrasound. In any case, you can start conservatively managing this. 6 weeks bare minimum of absolutely no sexual contact. None, of any kind. No masturbation, sex... etc. Forget about your penis and let it rest while you try to see a doctor. If you are trying to take any Erectile Dysfunction medications or supplements that may affect your erection quality stop with those.

Not all fractures require surgery but only a surgeon will tell you. Looking at that bulge on the side of the penis, it could definitely be a minor one. My fracture was during sex and i felt a tear and ache on my penis, but had none of the symptoms i described above. I did have a bulge on the same side as you. I can tell you all about what you can expect from this. IT's been some years since mine....

good luck and don't hesitate to reach back.

I second what Pfract said. There is a possibility of a microfracture there which is what I had. Not all fractures have the classic symptoms, not everyone will get the eggplant look, pain, bleeding, etc.  None of this is meant to scare you but that bump very well could be a hematoma.  I don't think seeing a well qualified Urologist should be a last resort.  Getting a firm diagnosis from a Urologist who knows what they are looking at I think is well worth doing and can get you on the road to recovery.  And yes hands off your unit if you want to give yourself the best chance for recovery.   You can do this, we will help you the best we can, but you have to help yourself too.  Please fill in your signature, you'll get more responses and help from more members here.  Hang in there, it will take time to recover but you can do it.
