This is it, can't take it anymore. I'm been having this horrible disease for 2 years, I tried everything and nothing is working, my only option is an implant. I'm scare of the risks of an implant, but what else can I do to improve my condition?. I want to know from all the guys that got an implant on this forum, what did you do the months after the implant to preserve your size?. I ask because every surgeon have different opinions on what to do.

Bud Luck,

I know it is work but read the journals.  If you go into implant surgery without reading at least 3 or 4 journals from start to finish, you are making a mistake.  We already wrote out answers to all those questions there.

The incomplete answer is to use Traction and/or VED for at least three months before the implant and cycle the implant as soon as you have clearance to do so. Then, cycle daily until you go for a month with no gains at all.

All implant surgeons are certainly not equal. Therefore, the most significant decision is picking your surgeon.

Bad luck,
Agree, read our journals.
I am a very satisfied male with my implant.
Interesting is that I get more action than most my friends my age, because my equipment never fails. Lol
I think I have also become a better lover, as I know I never have to think about my limp or crooked or thinning penis.
I use my cock 2-3 times a week for intercourse and masturbation 2-3 times a day.
Use is important.
When I was in my youth, I used my penis several times a day.
Hope this helps,

My insurance company doesn't cover the implant with Dr Eid, and out of pocket is over $30000. If I get the implant, it has to be Dr Eid. Well, I guess I can't get an implant.

Badluck,

I am with you. I've been diagnosed with this disease since Jan 2020, and haven't had sex past one night in over 13 months. The list goes on and on, from depression/dark-thoughts and lack of confidence, to missing out on friendships and living life.   But we have to look at this objectively: if getting an implant is going to improve these other areas of our lives (including sex), then its a really good option to consider (which you've already done).

Now you're at the point where you've decided you want to do it: you're going to continue to go back and forth on this decision until the day after the operation. You're going to be nervous, there's going to be costs (explicit/implicit), and you're going to doubt yourself.   But if you read through the journals you'll see there's no buyers remorse. 30000$ is a new car. You're getting a f***ing spaceship with this surgery. If Dr. EID is the surgeon you want, he costs 30k. He's the only one I've talked to, but I believe Dr. Kramer and Dr. Hakky seem to be other high volume, well-reviewed surgeons who may be a bit cheaper.

It sounds like you're tired and want to move on, I think you'll be so much happier with one.

I think the key to maintaining size is first to use the VED prior to surgery.
The second part is probably more important,
Choose or if you're lucky like me, get a surgeon who will mildly aggressively size you.
I ended up with a great result and never had to leave the Phoenix area.

Small world, Bud?
Dr Avila is hard to figure.
He obviously is very good at his craft.
He's not good at communicating or follow up care.

I was impressed that he didn't want to know what size I thought I had and never did any kind of stretch test before I was on the table.
I also ended up with nearly a 1CM gain in length.
I consider that a happy accident.

I don't know important those things are, but just wanted to throw that out there.
He also refuses to implant the LGX in lengths 18cm or larger.
The CX is all right, but dammit, I wanted the LGX.
He also uses the Titan in case of Peyronies or giant penises.

Right now Dr Bigelow is treating me. I guess I was handed off to him to have my prostate cancer monitored and treated.
I just get a positive vibe from Dr B and think I'd also trust him for this surgery.

I don't know what ins they accept, but it's probably normal.

Bud Luck,  Do you read any implant journals, or do you prefer that everyone who made an effort to keep a journal rewrite it again just for you?

You have the same penis, the same nerves.  Nothing is removed.

What would feel different?

What does sex feel like to you now?

Well, having an implant is a huge step, I just want to know details from everyone, but you right, I will just read the journals

You can ask questions if you read the journals, but the questions you are asking are the most basic questions covered in the journals and the sticky posts at the top of the board.  Members and forum staff were put there at GREAT effort.  We even made an index.

READ THE STICKY POSTS AT THE TOP OF THE BOARDS. - THEN if you need to ask questions, they would be sensible questions.  If you were new on the forum for a few weeks I would have some patience but you have been here for over a year. Added to your many rule violations, my patience is wearing very thin.

I don't think I lost any girth, but I'd guess my girth was always proportional to my penis.
I have trouble reaching orgasm, but some of that is attributable to my wife not wanting sex for enough time for it to happen.
My feeling seems to be pretty much as it was pre-surgery.

I'd guess the answers to your questions should be answered by someone younger with a younger wife.

My glans doesn't harden, but it isn't floppy or smaller than it ever was.
It presents no problems.

I really worry more about the Peyronies and hourglassing in your case.
A good journal would be written by someone who more closely approximates you age and situation.
