(Chronic pain) if there is no source, its neuropathic, and vice versa?

Talking about chronic pain here that was initially caused by an injury.
If there can not be found a source for the pain in the ultrasound (Doctor : "Your penis is alright") then it means it MUST be neuropathic pain and some drug will eventually help with it, right?
And on the other hand if nothing helps then its not neuropathic pain and some source must be able to be found in an MRI ?
26y, injured at 21 :/

Reinjured late 2019 when having sex with weak errection.

I had my MRI 3 months after my initial injury, which was when my pain was at it's worse and they told me everything looked totally normal and they couldn't even see inflammation. That made me feel dread not knowing what is truly causing my pain. I plan on getting an MRI again just to see what comes up. I think they can only detect peyronies when it's severe, not mild cases like ours

I will not pay for any urological study again, until a new treatment comes out. I'm tired of giving them money and they don't give me any solution. I don't even trust those "studies" that say the penis is fine when you have 30 symptoms.

I feel your frustration Toby. It makes me upset hit at the same time it makes me want to do something about it. Like how can we solve this problem is there anything we can do?

I've done all the supplements etc even prescriptions and dealing with daily pain sucks. Going to a top notch doctor that my insurance doesn't cover and getting told there is nothing we can do also sucks and is expensive.

But it is what it is I will not give up until my situation is better.

Curvekiller94, I have resigned myself to trying things until there is something new.
I just read new research and try to send emails, yesterday I read a peyronie study where 20 rabbits were euthanized, it made me very sad even though the reality is that we still kill animals when we eat.

I think we are many people and we could generate more noise or encourage research, but I have already gone through this with another problem and nothing ever happens.

I just have to wait and suffer.

I honestly wouldn't care about the pain if I knew for sure that it didn't mean I was making things worse by masturbating or just touching it.

Like the psychological torment and guilt of not knowing if masturbation/ejaculation actually changes the course of eventually becoming pain free and healing makes me lose my mind.

Again, I could live with the 2/10 penis pain I typically have but the uncertainty and guilt I have every time I ejaculate makes that whole experience a buzzkill since I'll always wonder if that's gonna make this whole ordeal last longer

I just want penis transplants to become more common as a procedure so I can put all my anxious energy in believing I have a backup if I somehow managed to ruin this penis
