At 28 I developed Ulcerative colitis. With this condition my erections and libido were still strong, so my wife at the time didn't want to use contraceptives anymore, so she told me to get a vasectomy. Before getting the vasectomy I asked the "Doctor" if vasectomy would affect the hormones or the erection function and he said that vasectomy is totally safe and that will not change anything, we'll I was naive back then and I trusted the m..f.k.r. Doctor, guess what, three or more months after the vasectomy my hormones tanked, and I developed ED. I start reading and I find out that having an autoimmune disease could cause vasectomy issues, then same with Trimix that caused me the Peroynes. The point is, after being screwed twice I 'm scare to get worst again because of my autoimmune disease could make my condition worse again!!!!!. I'm being cursed!!!

I have UC and other auto-immune diseases (including, obviously, Peyronie's).

I'm not sure if this is what you're asking or not, but I once asked Dr. Kramer if having UC and being on immune suppressing meds was a risk or even a no-go for implant surgery, and he said absolutely not, that he's operated on "all sorts of people with immunosuppression - no big deal, actually."

That was good to hear.

51 yrs. old, multiple auto-immune conditions. First episode of Peyronies Disease in 2002. Recurred a couple times since. Over the years I have tried Topical Verapamil, Iontophoresis, all the supps and Cialis + Pentoxifylline. Still functional, always worried.

This is not a medical answer but a logical response based on what I know.

There is not much that can happen with a properly installed implant.  Oviously the implant itself cannot be affected by disease.  Any inflammation or subsequent scarring would happen under the constant traction that an implant exerts even when deflated.  That is why men with an implant always have a larger flaccid.

The only area where I would have questions is if immune-suppressing drugs could make you more susceptible to infection.

As far as i am aware, you could have an implant with your condition. But it is a good idea to book a courtesy call or a video consultation with an implant Dr. of your choice and ask him this exact question and what are his thoughts on the matter.

Have you researched online, on  Dr. eid's website or youtube by any chance? pubmed may offer some insight too!

Yes, that's precisely why I was asking Dr. Kramer - the notion that being immunosuppressed might increase risk of infection. As he put it, it's "no big deal." So, at least in his experience, it doesn't appear to be an infection risk. Would be interesting, of course, to also hear Dr. Eid's experience.

why did you tell me later on in life you will get an implant bud luck

Because of revisions, the more revisions the more money I have to spent and higher risk of infection.  An implant done by a top implanter is expensive, I can't afford 3 or 4 revisions
