Hi guys,

Yesterday I got a Doppler done, both with and without an injection. The urologist used half the dose and the erection I got was a semi at best (definitely not rigid, I wouldn't have been able to penetrate). I was very anxious, almost had a panic attack when I left the office. Hated the whole thing.

I've had erection issues in the past year but they've gotten better. I don't even take Cialis anymore, only a L-citrulline supplement. Weirdly enough alcohol helps, probably because it makes me less anxious when the time comes. Of course my erections are not what they used to be pre-Peyronie's and they may weaken during intercourse, although it hasn't been much of an issue.

Anyway, the urologist told me he detected a mild venous leak. He also said that this conclusion could also be because I didn't have a full erection. He suggested Kegel exercices and sent me on my way.

My question is: how worried should I be about this diagnosis? I've read about venous leak and it seems like one of the most characteristic signs is being unable to maintain an erection, especially during certain positions. That's not my case, my erections don't seem to depend on me lying down or standing up.
If I do have the beginning of a venous leak, will it worsen over time? Is there anything I can do?

Thanks for your help.

I don't know any situation where someone should worry because worry changes nothing and is always counterproductive.  Worry alone is all it takes to kill an erection.

If you are asking, "Can this get worse?" the answer is, of course, it can but, I could tell every man on earth, "Ten years from now, your erections might be worse than they are right now."

The doctor is not even sure you have venous leak.  If you do, it is very small.  Your personal experience is that everything works fine, and the degree of Erectile Dysfunction you have is likely due to stress.  That makes it very clear that NO, YOU SHOULD NOT WORRY."

What you should do is learn to meditate and get your stress under control.  Alcohol is not a workable plan for stress.  You will do far better with no stress and no alcohol than you will with either or both.
