Is tadalafil accumulative in the organism?

Juan

First of all sorry for my english. I hope make myself understand:

Since the onset (11 months now) of the disease I've been taking 2,5 mg daily tadalafil.
Within all this time, I've had periods where I had spontaneous erections impossible to manage. I don't mean a single erection, I mean for example during the whole morning in the office I wasn't able to get up from the chair otherwise I had a bonner.
When those uncontrollable erections were happening for some days in a row, I took tadalafil every other day instead of daily until I was feeling normal again without those inoportune erections.

Those days where I experienced so many and long erections I used to feel my penis sore, irritated...

I take tadalafil at dinner and don't breakfast. Those erections were mainly in the morning until I had lunch.

My thoughts are:
- Is tadalafil accumulative in the organism? (I'd say yes)
- Is tadalafil more powerfull taken on an empty stomach? (I'd say yes)
- Too much tadalafil can lead to too much NO and that could be counter-productive? (I'd say yes)

to be honest i think it's not a healthy subtance to take for long periods of time. i have been taking l-citrulline (1800 mg daily) and exercising instead and have super hearlhty NTEs. i also get random boners but more as im abstaining from masturbation (except 1-2 times weekly)
30, ~20-30 degrees right bend beginning of 02/2021. Small plaque under gland on right side of the shaft
04/21 Plaque right side under glans
07/21 plaque by base
10 deg curvature at base + narrowing
1.8 g Citrulline 2-3 g ALCAR, 6-8h daily with PM

I believe taking it daily has a cumulative effect. It builds up in your system. I think the benefits for taking it daily are for the anti fibrotic properties and potential plaque remodeling. The night time erections should help with the healing process too, in theory at least.

Juan: Hello. What you are telling me is very worrying. You should not be having such long erections with Cialis unless you are being stimulated and even then it is too much. Have you consulted your doctor? Do you have a dr? Did you read the documentation that comes with the medication to be aware of the side effects?

You have to really watch out for any erection lasting more than 4 hours. No wonder your penis is aching and feeling irritated. Any erection lasting more than 4 hours warrants medical attention if you can't bring it down. You should also check for plaque and fribotic tissue after such an event if your erectile condition got deteriorated.
None of the things you asked makes any difference when taking the medication if you have ED. Also... the answers for them are in the documentation that came with the Cialis.

What is also worrying, is that none of the other two posters mentioned this whilst they all came back with bold claims about what the medication does and does not, IN THEIR opinion.

To be fair Pfract, I never stated anything as fact, and I'm not sure how it's a "bold" claim when these statements are what urologists/Peyronie's specialists tell us, as well as many long term and well respected members on this forum.

Juan also didn't mention anything about priapism(at least not in terms of a specific time frame, just stating he had uncontrollable erections for a long time, but didn't state exactly how long). I assume most people know that's a potential side effect of Cialis, and requires immediate medical attention.

Hi,

Yes my doctor is Dr. Peinado. In spain I think (along with Dr. Salamanca) is one of the best in Peyronies.

I didn't experienced a full erection lasting for more than 4 hours. I just got spontaneous erections very easily, just standing up or walking, but the erection always subsided in few minutes, however have to say, after the erection went away my the penis remained a bit aroused, like if never reached totally flaccid.

please help me with this doubt. give me your opinion:

imagine you have a full erection (100% erection) which lasts only for some minutes. then the erection subsides until you are in a 20% erection. and that 20% erection remains for more than 4 hours.
- would this be considered like a priapism?
- is this harmful?

I think what you're referring to might be a form of high flow priapism, which is not considered a medical emergency. I believe others may call this long flaccid. It might help if you use an ice pack. This may also signal some blood flow issues in your penis.

Have you seen a urologist, and did they do a doppler ultrasound with Caverject?

Also, does it go away when you lie down flat on your back on your bed? I have hard flaccid, and when I lie down, it goes flaccid and becomes much more elastic. I'm not sure if it works with long flaccid though.
