I probably read and skimmed a hundred or more PubMed articles and Google Scholar articles over the past weeks. So far, the below made the most sense to me. I would love to hear the others here share their studies and findings. I'm not saying it's "the" cause, but more like "a" cause.

Peyronie's as an IgG4-RD (IgG4 related disease). Before I developed Peyronie's and hard flaccid, I recall that I was supplementing with Boron three times a day. Boron, as I just found out, raises NO, but excess NO can throw TH1 and TH2 out of balance and supresses TH1 response, making ones TH2 dominant.

Additionally, I read somewhere that CPAP machines were said to increase the risk of Peyronie's. CPAP machines significantly increases the level of Nitric Oxide (NO). If in excess, in my opinion, could replicate the aforementioned effect and the cascading effect.

So, with the T-Helper 2 in question, it can trigger a cascading effect and raises the following effects in the order below:

What do I think this means? It could mean that if we balance out or become less T-Helper 2 dominant, it allows our bodies to heal from pro-fibrotic immune response.

Ultimately, maybe we want to become less T-Helper 2 dominant, to lower IgG4, which then will avoid raising the interleukin involved in our Peyronie's disease. Is it possible that we're mistaken that NO enhancers help (it may, but maybe not in excess?). Where when in excess it exacerbates the problem, and that some NO enhancers helped because they are actually TH1 enhancers or TH2 blunter, or we didn't over do them?

Perhaps we should look into the success stories, what supplements they took and in what dosage. What foods they regularly ate, etc. Personally, I started eating a fair bit of ginger last night before I found all this, and funny enough, I haven't been in pain as much today (ginger blunts the effect of TH2).

More on T-Helper 2 / TH2 from PubMed. A little old but not retracted.

FIBROTIC DISEASE AND THE TH1/TH2 PARADIGM

However, when the stimulus persists, immune suppressive mechanisms need to be activated to prevent the immune response from causing excessive damage to host tissues. In these circumstances, regulatory T cells and TH2 cytokines often collaborate to suppress the TH1 response. Perhaps even more importantly, they strongly promote the mechanism of wound healing. So, the ability to preserve and repair host tissues might become the overriding survival mechanism when immune responses enter the chronic phase. Although the end-result of persistent healing is fibrotic tissue remodelling, in most cases, this is a viable compromise for the individual because it might be the only way to ensure long-term survival. Given this new view, it may be more accurate to describe the TH2 response as an adaptive tissue-healing mechanism, instead of as a simple counter-regulatory system for the TH1 response69. Hence, the TH2 response functions as a double-edged sword by facilitating wound healing while simultaneously contributing to fibrotic tissue remodelling. An important goal of future research will be to design therapies that exploit the beneficial aspects of the TH2 response (wound healing), while preventing or suppressing the detrimental features (fibrosis).
