Throughout the past two years, I thought I had Peyronie's disease because of my semi-erect hourglassing. Turns out, I don't have Peyronie's disease but just hard flaccid. Look up "hard flaccid and hourglassing" on Reddit and you may be like me. Keep in mind, I am not a urologist and I have PLENTY of other symptoms that scream hard flaccid so your case may not be the same as mine. However, if someone is lost/wrong like I was then I hope to point them in the correct direction. Please message me if you have any questions. Not to mention, there are exercises that you can do daily to defeat hard flaccid so let me know if you'd like more info. I'd be glad to help.

That's great news. So you've never had any curvature, just hourglassing when flaccid? Sucks I have both hard flaccid and Peyronie's. My hard flaccid symptoms get better when I lay down(penis is pretty elastic), but they are a lot worse when I'm standing, sitting, or driving. Pelvic floor exercises have done nothing for me to fix the hard flaccid issue unfortunately. Only good thing is that I don't have bad erectile dysfunction like some of those guys on Reddit do.

Semi erect hourglassing is evident of peyronies or scar tissue. Guys with hard flacid are in the early stages of peyronies. Ask NeiV... im sure he'll agree with me.if you don't treat or cause more injury eventually you'll have it in erect state too. How do I know this for sure ?

Because I first thought I had hard flacid... that how I came to know about NeoV youtibe channel who mentioned peyronies. I started getting hourglassing when semi erect then after some time it was full blown peyronies.

@sadandlost look up Btcalvit on Reddit. A good place to start would be his "A Complete Wiki for HF - Intro/Resources" post. There's a ton of intonation and routines that I uncovered on there about HF. Maybe it could help you.

Unfortunately none of those exercises do anything for hard flaccid caused by Peyronie's

I have the same as you. That's why I can only do traction lay down.
My hard flaccid is intermittent throughout the day, is like if it activates/desactivates in matter of seconds.

Don't focus only in the pelvic area, try to stretch/relax your abs and diaphragm. Also belly breathing is good...I noticed I had that area very tight.
Penis pain and stress about the disease makes me to tighten the belly.

Pentoxifiline 400x3. Tadalafil 2,5. Vit E, D3, K2. Zinc.Omega3. Ubiquinol. ALCAR.
Traction with PMP.

My pelvic floor is very relaxed, same with my abs. Those exercises don't help me. I believe all I can do is keep working towards fixing Peyronie's, and hoping the hard flaccid will get better over time.

Neo V's not a professional on pelvic floor issues. Most men experience some kind of hour glassing when they have to pee or poop and sometimes when they're semi erect. Hard flaccid is entirely caused by pelvic floor tension but it often occurs from an injury. That same injury could also trigger a bout of peyronies but the hard flaccid itself is not peyronies, just another symptom from the injury.

If your only symptoms are you occasionally hourglass when going to the bathroom or sometimes when semi erect then that's totally normal if not a pelvic floor issue. The keyword is occasionally though.

Where's the scientific proof or medical literature on this? And I'm just gonna throw in here, CPPS is not hard flaccid.

But, I agree hard flaccid can be a symptom of an injury, but I do not agree it's entirely caused by pelvic floor tension because there are many people including myself who have perfectly normal pelvic floors, and we have still hard flaccid.

The research is in the fact that people with hard flaccid literally have tense pelvic floors upon physical examination and stretches associated with releasing the pelvic floor improve their hard flaccid or pain. If you don't have a tense pelvic floor and pelvic activities don't improve you then yeah it's probably peyronies.

Most people with hard flaccid eventually return to normal after a certain period, unless you're suggesting that the percent of people with peyronies who get cured is much higher than initially speculated since hard flaccid was just peyronies this entire time.

And what about the people with hard flaccid for 5+ years that never get cured by exercises and don't have peyronie's? Post some actual scientific studies or literature to back your statements up.

Why so antagonistic? I just stated that Hard Flaccid symptoms do not mean peyronies but people with peyronies can also have hard flaccid as well as peyronies. We're on the same page here.

Gause Rifle made the claim that hard flaccid is just peyronies earlier even though it was just established that it's still not a fully understood condition.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7271516/

The link above discusses what we know of Hard flaccid so far, it's speculated that the pelvic floor plays a large role in it since events that trigger stress and contractions of the pelvic floor irritate the nerves down there. I'm not a scientist but most articles discussing hard flaccid typically link pelvic floor dysfunction as being a primary culprit behind most of those issues. I apologize for thinking that was common knowledge.

Well there is a cure... But it's more invasive than most of us would want, a penile implant.
Would rather wait to see if things get severe before going down that route though.

Penis implant is definitely not a "cure". It's treatment to allow sex.

Well it's still nice to know it's always an option if worse comes to worst.

I apologize if I was projecting, but I just don't see how pelvic floor exercises can help with hard flaccid when thousands of guys get it as a result of injury(look at all the guys at pegym, and the hard flaccid subreddit). Then all of a sudden they have some sort of pelvic floor imbalance? That just doesn't make sense, and seems to be based off pseudoscience. Mods on other places will also gaslight people telling them they haven't done the exercises enough, it's anxiety, etc. It's pretty ridiculous, and I'm sick of it.

How long has your hard flaccid lasted? After my injury I had severe hard flaccid for at least a month or two, during that time I was doing reverse kegels while playing video games and eventually it completely went away. I just have pain now that's gotten slightly better since the incident. My perineum sometimes aches after ejaculation though but eh that doesn't bother me much.

Almost two months now, same duration as peyronie's. I've been doing reverse kegels as well, they don't seem to be helping me much. So you only did reverse kegels and it completely went away? What kind of hard flaccid symptoms did you have?

In the beginning I couldn't feel the top half of my penis, it was cold and I couldn't get an erection for like a month. When I did get erections then they would be really narrow and very weak. Also I remember my penis curving in a semi erect stage, that symptom has since disappeared completely as well.

It was F^@$!ng horrifying but I'm doing a lot better now. Full sensation and erections, just hoping the aching will continue to go away and I can move on. Been 9 and a half months since then. But yeah, I still deal with anxiety. Let's hope they make great progress with tissue engineering and scar treatments in the future buddy. =)
