The qualification for implants for patients with Peyronies should be changed in my option what is your opinions?

I would like an implant if things keep going the way they are going but my insurance won't cover it because I don't have terrible Ed only some ED. I think that's wrong given the other surgical outcomes compared to an implant.

In my opinion implant seems like the most effective way to treat peyronies. Sure traction is good but it's not that great otherwise this forum wouldn't exist.

Many good doctors disagree on whether implants should be used to correct curves if significant ED exists.  I tend to agree with you, but I am not sure I would agree at your age.

My question is, how does your insurance company know the degree of your ED.  Did you have sex with your insurance representative?

MY point is that no one independently assesses your degree of ED.  Your degree of ED is what your report it to be.

Good points. Lol no I didn't 😂 if my peyronie pain persists past the 18 month time period. Does that mean I am still in the acute phase? Or after 18 months is it safe for surgery? I haven't had any curvature progression in a long time.

If I still have pain at 18 months since onset  is that just is what it is or do you think the implant will  help with that pain?  Obviously provided I'm no longer in acute phase.

Maybe others have strong evidence to base an answer but I don't.  I would say when that time comes discuss it with a top surgeon.  I have no reason to think an implant will do anything to address pain.
