First Post and Hello all
« on: August 28, 2021, 04:59:59 PM »

Hi all, I'll keep this short and to the point.
I was diagnosed with Peyronies when I was 18. I am now 45.
I have three plaques on the left-hand side of the penis, all three are quite large, and one smallish plaque on the right-hand side.
The penis has a very small bend downwards.
However, the penis doesn't harden past the point of the plaques.
So in effect, the lower half of the penis gets hard, the top half doesn't.
Therefore, erections are weak and sex isn't practical.
In terms of solutions, I visited a urologist when I was 20 and opted not to pursue surgery.
Recently I tried a penis pump but it didn't induce a full erection and caused an injury.
Glad to have joined the forum  :)

Welcome to the forums.
I don’t think Xiaflex and traction is gonna help much with calcified plaques. Perhaps you should look into excision/grafting or an implant?

cialis, pentox, magnesium chloride, dim, turmeric, hyaluronic acid, vitamin k2, paba, l-arginine, l-citrulline. either get surgery (and possible Erectile Dysfunction), get implant, or pray

Welcome to the forum.  If you have had Peyronies Disease for over 20 years and have erection issues, I would start with traction and a VED. Then, use the VED with patients and see if blood will eventually get drawn into the end of the penis with a milking action with the VED.

There is some chance the VED and Traction will work, but at the very least, they will prepare you for the implant, which I think is your next best solution. In addition, the VED/traction will help you regain size before surgery.

The key is to pick a high-volume implant specialist, NOT a urologist who does many other surgeries and treatments in addition to implant surgery.
Excision/grafting is a longer surgery with a much longer recovery, and it can have the side-effect of Erectile Dysfunction. That would require you to have a follow-up implant surgery. Since you already have Erectile Dysfunction issues, it makes sense to have an outpatient implant surgery and fix everything in one surgery.

You had Peyronie’s for such a long time. Did you not have the finances for an implant? Why now after 20 plus years are you seeking treatment? I don’t think any type of traction or pumping is going to help your situation, only to maintain size for an implant. Seems like your only option at this point is implant.
