Hi all, first post
17 years old.
I first noticed my curve about three weeks ago, no clue if I've always had it or not - never really checked. The curve is somewhere about 20-30 degrees upwards. Although my measurements have been freakishly inconsistent between 10 and 40 degrees (using photos and an app which lets me measure angles on images). The curve starts low on the penis, about an inch and a half from the base (25% of the way up), and I can feel that this entire inch and a half does not expand the same (although no significant hour glassing or denting). I also feel a lump very very close to the base which is hard to palpate when the penis is perpendicular to the body, but easier to palpate when the penis is left hanging. I believe this is due to that part of the penis retracting under the base when it is supported perpendicularly, but is easier to palpate when the penis is left hanging due to the extension of the penis downwards. However I am not sure if this is plaque, or vasculature or extra supportive on the penis close to the base. I do note that the location of this suspected 'plaque' corresponds quite well to the nature of my curvature, however it cannot be palpated during an erection, only suspected through the lesser expansion of this aforementioned 1.5 inches. I also have a high erection degree standing up (not penile curvature), with the bend from the base up being only 20 degrees (measuring acute angle from parallel with body to penis, although I do not have too much trouble making it perpendicular, although this occasionally causes discomfort. I believe that this could be due to the plaque tightening the penis close to the base and its supporting musclature, pulling it up.

I have absolutely no pain at all
The plaque feels quite large, maybe 2cm diameter, though I have no shortening
I have previously had Erectile Dysfunction, I believe due to porn consumption. But continued masturbating even without sufficient rigidity. I no longer have erectile problems

Questions:
1. How common is having no pain at all in peyronies? Could it just be simple penile trauma? I've also had hits to the penis in rugby (crushing type). How long would i expect such wounds to heal?
2. Can traction devices, Penis master pro or restoreX resolve a plaque that is so close to the base (practically inside the body sometimes). I have heard Dr Trost say that the location of the plaque along the dorsum is irrelevant and that the bend in the device is not to target a specific part of the dorsum but to apply greater force to the entire top side of the shaft. And would penis master pro be able to apply force so far down? I've done a bit of manual traction and the most significant stretch that I can see is in the midshaft.
3. Has anyone actually heard stories of spontaneous recovery? I've read conflicting resources which say from 10% to 20%. However recently stumbled upon a resource that says otherwise (although given the methods and studies this practice uses it seems quite dated)

4. what does plaque actually feel like?
5. Is erection checking harmful?
6. Anybody know anyone good in Sydney? Any experience with Dr Katelaris or jefferson.

Welcome to the forum goong.  The first thingyou need to do is to read and study the survival guide -->https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,3180.msg44057.html#msg44057 . This will give you more information about peyronies, injuries etc.....  It then looks like you have filled out your signature line.
You can find instructions  here! - https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,10819.0.html.
In your case I think you need to be evaluated first by a peyronies specialist if it is possible. Injuries to to your penis can be interpreted like it is peyronies.  Peyronies is an unpredictable disease and can change it's course at any time in a mans life.  Injuries can take time to heal and eliminating porn and gentle masturbation is recommended. Don't assume you have peyronies - you should be checked with an ultrasound.

Welcome goong, very sorry to hear you're worried you might have Peyronies Disease.

I think the best thing you could do at this point is take photographs of your erection from top-down, as well as from both sides, and make an appt with a Urologist. Explain the situation, show him/her the pictures, and let the Uro feel the suspected inflammation and make a determination if it's Peyronies Disease or not. There's simply no way for anyone here to be able to make that call, as congenital (natural) curvature is perfectly normal and not Peyronies Disease. Typically, with Peyronies Disease, a guy notices curvature that simply wasn't there the day before, or week before, or whatever.

To try to answer your questions:

1) Pain (or lack of it) doesn't rule out Peyronies Disease, as some men experience no pain, only bending or indentation. You really need a Uro to make that call. And even though most Uro's don't specialize in Peyronies Disease (and are pretty unhelpful on the topic) just about any Uro should be able to tell you if what you're feeling is a Peyronies Disease plaque. They've touched more penises than anyone, and know what "normal" feels like.

2) Traction is a promising treatment, but there's just no guarantee it will work in any particular case. All you can do is try. But first, you really need to be diagnosed so you know if you have Peyronies Disease or not.

3) Spontaneous recovery does happen. I've battled Peyronie's three times before and in each case, I was left with a totally functional erection, and my nodules shrunk and disappeared (at least insofar as I could no longer feel them). I believe scar tissue was left over, but it didn't cause any problems. And I've read other accounts here of men with curves or indentations that improved to nearly "pre-Peyronies Disease" condition. So, it is possible.

4) In my case, plaques feel like firm little nodules, or lumps, or perhaps long and narrow, like a grain of rice. They are not "hard," but firmer than the surrounding tissue, so you notice them. Only with calcification do these become truly hard. And some (including myself) never have calcification.

5) If by "erection checking" you mean examining your erection for changes in appearance or whatever, no, not harmful. Just don't bend or injure yourself through rough handling. I find pictures help me compare week-to-week, to see if what I'm perceiving as changes are really there, or just in my mind.

6) See my comment above - any decent urologist should be able to diagnose Peyronies Disease.

I hope this helps. And again, you really need to get to a Uro for a diagnosis. If, in fact, you do have Peyronies Disease, we are all here to offer what help we can. Until that point, I will keep my fingers crossed that you're simply dealing with a congenital curve.

Regards,
Nemo

51 yrs. old, multiple auto-immune conditions. First episode of Peyronies Disease in 2002. Recurred a couple times since. Over the years I have tried Topical Verapamil, Iontophoresis, all the supps and Cialis + Pentoxifylline. Still functional, always worried.

I think you need to see a urologist first. You aren't even sure yourself whether it's a congenital curvature or not. And you're 17, seems way too young(not saying it's impossible). I feel that most people here with peyronie's almost always have some level of pain as well as curvature.
MIA - nothing works after 5 months
supplements and pharmaceuticals I've tried:
cialis, pentox, magnesium chloride, dim, turmeric, hyaluronic acid, vitamin k2, paba, l-arginine, l-citrulline. either get surgery (and possible ed), get implant, or pray
