Been reading for a month as a guest. Taking cialis,  pentox and supplements in survival guide.

My erections were painful for a while but now don't hurt as much but they are softer and my bend seems to have stabilized. I think sexual activity is causing more damage.

Need advice on how to safely have sex and not cause more harm. Should I quit for a month or do twice a week? What is generally the best way to endure this until I go into stable phase? If I were to lose functioning this young ill be devastated. My penis just looks awful on both erect and flaccid. My uro prescribed betamethasond bc it looked like I had an infection when this all started and I think that may have weakened my glans and made everything worse.

Very worried.

Welcome to the forum. Please begin by filling in your signature line and telling us a little more about your deformity / condition along with age  - https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,10819.0.html. I am sure you have already gone through the survival guide. I would encourage erections but limit as much physical trauma or force to penis. If having sex, please do so gently and with plenty of lube. Also, please begin traction to prevent worsening. Oral supplements are least effective in my opinion and won't get you as far as traction. I am 26 and already non functional, so yeah devastated but working on all treatments one day at a time. That is what you need to do, fight against peyronies is a marathon not a sprint spanning out years until you try out all treatments.
26 year old
45-50 degree downward curve with an indentation on one side when erect.
Using RestoreX and Xiaflex injections
Taking coq10 with daily Cialis 5mg.

My very understanding girlfriend and I have stopped all penetrative sex until I am out of the acute phase (or pain has stopped, which may or may not mean you're out of the acute phase). I do oral on her of course, and use my hands, but the only thing she does with my penis is gentle oral. I then use my hand to finish (gently). We both come away satisfied, and there's no pressure or bending forces put on my penis from penetration. I tried it a couple times, but it just makes me very nervous and thus, takes the fun out of it.

For us, we're ok with this. It's even allowed her to come off the pill for a while. My thought is that while I could probably penetrate and be careful enough to avoid significant pain, it's just not worth the risk of making the inflammation worse and causing the indentation I currently have to become worse.

Just offering this as an example of how we're dealing with it - may not be right for you and your partner, but for now, we're ok with it.

Thank you Nemo. I am going to tell my gf that this is what I am comfortable with too.

Have you found that your penis looked, felt, and worked better after extended rest?

Try taking the cialis at night before you sleep. It should induce night time erections, and that's when your body is healing. That makes sense to me.

If you're feeling any pain or discomfort while having sex, it's probably best to not engage while you're still in the acute phase. It sucks, I know, it's really hard for me too. If you can get full erections that aren't painful, stick with missionary.

I'm only a month in, started treatment a little over a week ago, so it's too early to tell if it's better or not. Just looking at it day to day, there are no improvements yet, probably even got worse for me as it's slanting more to the left.

I wish you the best of luck on your recovery.
MIA - nothing works after 5 months
supplements and pharmaceuticals I've tried:
cialis, pentox, magnesium chloride, dim, turmeric, hyaluronic acid, vitamin k2, paba, l-arginine, l-citrulline. either get surgery (and possible ed), get implant, or pray

OuchItHurts, I'm just one month into this flare, so I can't say I've had extended rest. My dent has been about the same for that month, not worse, not better, but I'm not breathing any easier, as one month in terms of Peyronies Disease doesn't mean a lot, unfortunately.

What do people recommend I do for pain besides NSAIDs?

Curcumax pro helps with me with pain more than ibuprofen.

Get 30 mins of exercise in everyday, drink lots of water, change your diet to be anti-inflammatory (low sugar, low carb), topical NSAID diclofenac gel, pentox, tadalafil, curcumin, mens multi and most important of all do not have sex or masturbate. You need to let your penis heal and it takes a long time. When your pain has decreased for a long time you can look at doing traction or VED to change the look of your penis if you wish.

Really no sex or masturbate? Do you agree with Neno that oral is ok if done safely?

I never heard of that NSAID cream but I don't want to put anything on my Wang. I put betamethasone on because a doc prescribed it for a rash and it made my glans look and feel terrible for a long time.

Are you totally celibate bloke? Have you noticed substantial healing?

Asphyxia

I experience more pain after ejaculation so i would agree with no sex or masturbation

Until acute over?  So, 6 to 18 months?

I can only speak from my personal experience. Diclofenac gel works well and is only applied to the shaft. Try a small amount and see how you react.

It has been 4 months since my injury and my pain has been decreasing every week since I've abstained. I will most likely abstain for the whole acute phase and will implement traction or VED at the 6 month mark if I have no pain at all.

I'd have to agree with the no sex/masturbation. The pain is significantly worse after ejaculation. Much easier said than done of course, since it's mentally tough to hold off on that, but you gotta do what's best for you right now
