One full round down... what next?

I went through a full cycle of Xiaflex injections... four sessions of two shots each given within a week of each other.  I started off with a 60-65 degree curve, and now have a 40-45 degree one.  So basically the injections did what the doctor told me they would do... roughly correct the curve by 20 degrees.  So now I come to where I am now.

In October I go back and we discuss whether to do one more cycle of Xiaflex to hopefully end up at 30 degrees or do the plication surgery and be straight.  Anybody have experience with doing more than one full round of Xiaflex treatment?  Did you find that you improved in a second cycle of shots?

Also looking at the PRP injection, but not sure if I should do that now or wait until after either another round of Xiaflex or surgery.  Found someone who combines that with the soundwave treatments.  It's expensive, but I am considering that.  Just curious... would Xiaflex negate any gains from that or help at this point?

I am very in my head about my options and not sure where to go.  I am continuing traction, daily Cialis, and Pentox.  Also throwing in some light VED sessions.  Any advice appreciated.

Hey there. Some guys in the forum had multiple rounds of Xiaflex. I remember reading cases where some of them had improvement, while others had no more improvement. Something else that you can do is schedule a consultation with Dr. Landon Trost which is one of the if not the most reputable when it comes to peyronies and xiaflex and see what he has to say about this.

Thanks!  I certainly have heard of Dr. Trost.

Yes, the first cycle of treatments I was told to expect roughly 20 degrees improvement which turned out correct.  They seem to surmise that I would only get 10 more degrees out of another bout of it, so I would be at 30 degrees.

I am working with Dr. Mohit Khera here in Houston, and you can find him as an authority on it as well.  Lots of videos of his speeches.  He told me not to do the PRP or the soundwave therapy yet.  He wants to talk about that face to face.  So I decided to put that on hold until we decide what to do.  Maybe those are best reserved after his treatment options run out... but still curious to hear if anyone has had good results with either.

Absolutely. I was just chiming in with the stuff i knew about. By the way, Dr. Trost thinks PRP is a scam. And by all the accounts i've witnessed here on the board i feel the same way. Lot's of dubious claims of improvements, few if any proof. I would steer away from it.

intersting,

whats your condition,. any dents?

please update id also be very interested in what dr khera has to say
Onset of pain in March 2021
Progressed to loss of girth to dent under the glans left side

Been doing daily heat, traction, pentox, ved, cialis since initial onset of pain

Currently still experiencing pain and dent unchanged

I don't have any dents... just the upward banana curve which is right now 40-45 degrees.  Most of my plaque is near the base, so all of that makes sense.

It will be a while until I have Khera's input.  I don't see him until October.  He asked me not to do any of it though - PRP or the soundwave stuff.  The PA on his staff thought soundwave couldn't hurt, but called PRP a "trendy" treatment.

I too have heard mixed things about PRP.  Some guys swear by it, but mainly for erectile dysfunction and not Peyronie's.  I find the treatment only offered in "wellness clinics" that offer things like Botox and cool sculpting as well.  Rarely do you see this in a legitimate clinic... I guess that should tell me all I need to know.  But definitely not against trying stuff.

Are you unable to have sex at 45 degrees
26 year old
45-50 degree downward curve with an indentation on one side when erect.
Using RestoreX and Xiaflex injections
Taking coq10 with daily Cialis 5mg.

Sex at 45 degrees is tricky.  Sometimes it works and sometimes not... I would prefer to be 30 or less.... but I am going to try and adjust here and see.
