Twisting of penis base caused by Peyronie’s: is it fixable?

Haven't seen much discussion about this anywhere else. Is the clockwise twist of the base of the penis caused by peyronie's fixable? Or is this something I'll have to live with forever? I've read others on here have the same twist problem.

Thanks for your help and time

Nobody can give you an answer, because we all don't know enough about this disease. At the moment there is no cure for Peyronies Disease.

BUT you can start with the survival guide of the forum and after a few months you'll see.

I understand that, I've read the survival guide, and I've tried looking via the search function, and it seems that only a handful of people have this twisting of the base of the penis that they've noticed along with their other peyronie's symptoms. I just wanted to know, if those handful of people are still here and posting on these forums, if they've ever fixed that problem, either from traction, ved, or oral supplements. I've used the search function and one member who has a very similar twisting issue as mine hasn't logged on in 4 years  :(

And is that twisting problem caused by scarring on the underside of the penis?

This makes me curious I have the twist as well I've had Peyronies about 9 months now finally somewhat getting used to it it still sucks though. Luckily I have a doc that actually gives me meds for the pain I hope this crap goes away soon though. I can live with a curve and a twist but constant pain is no fun.

Hey man, sorry that you're going through this crap. I've noticed you posted on another thread about the twist problem as well. Has using the restorex helped in any way or shown any improvement with the twist? And do you mind describing how you injured your penis? I believe I have hard flaccid as well, I'm wondering if there's a connection.

After googling penile torsion, it seems that it happens congenitally to some children and they get it repaired at a young age through surgery. Not much info about adults and penile torsion related to peyronie's. This sucks. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Looks like surgery is our only option related to this :(

Curvekiller, did you notice any urine stream changes as well?

Yes I have. I have to stand at an for when I pee and in the morning often times my stream is too high. So BS lol if you google peyrokies and urination it says there is no problem. But there obviously is a problem.

"The excess collagen, called plaques, can impede both urination and ejaculation. In more severe cases, the build up can cause an abnormal bend or curvature of the penis."

This is the ONLY informational site that talks about plaques impeding urination. I know that, using the search function here, dozens of others have similar issues. We need to spread more awareness about this, since we're not alone. The urination issues really affect my day to day and bring me down mentally.

Does anyone have a really tight and sore bulbospongiosus(the tightness and soreness run all the way down the entire bulbospongiosus, sore to the touch, whether flaccid or erect) as well as a tight and sore corpus spongiosum? It's all mostly the left side, the right side feels normal. I think this is causing my torsion, as well as my penis slanting to the left. Pelvic floor exercises don't do anything to loosen these up, I've tried. I feel this is the cause of my urinary issues as well.

Erections are tight and painful, mostly in those areas. Is it permanent scar tissue? Please, anyone have similar issues with any suggestions?? I've been searching everywhere for answers. This is killing me.

Lostandsad, that certainly seems like either pelvic floor issues or prostatitis. With pelvic floor issues you have to be patient and persistent - a few weeks of daily exercises to stretch and strengthen. With prostatitis a doctor would probably prescribe some antibiotics.
26 yo, UK
Mild sex injury Feb'21 - penis forced to bend down at the base, mild pain.
Since then: torsion, curve at the base (30º sideways), mild ED (difficulty maintaining erection).
Dr Amr Raheem prescribed 2.5mg Cialis, VED, Shockwave.

Lostandsad

No offense, you sound like those guys on pegym and Reddit hard_flaccid who are pelvic floor cheerleaders. I have zero pelvic floor issues. I've done pelvic floor exercises, they do NOT help at all. It's not prostatitis either, my urologist said my prostate and bladder are 100% normal. I've tried 3 different alpha blockers as well, they've done nothing for me.

There's dozens of people here with urination issues after they've gotten peyronie's(use the search function or google and see for yourself) and it's most likely due to the scar tissue/plaque that pushes against the urethra. We need to stop ignoring this as a cause. For me, I feel lumps on my corpus spongiosum, that is the most likely culprit in my case. It's not a coincidence I feel lumps there, I'm having these urination issues, erections are painful and stem from the corpus spongiosum(it's really tight and tender with erections) and my penis is slanting to to the left. It's hinging at the base. If you look at the nafc link in my earlier post, it says that scar tissue/plaque can impede urinating.

Definitely give VED a try.  I have that same issue and have been doing VED, it definitely has helped with erections and urination.  I am seeing a doctor on Thursday about this so I can come back with more information.

Injury Nov 2019, bend 15deg, loss of erections, dent and hard-flaccid
VED, cialis 5mg on/off
EQ medium (with pills), no NTE.  Lost 1+ inches length, lots in girth. Some loss of sensation. Considering implant to restore full sexual function

If VED can help with the urination then I surely have to try it. Any updates Richard?

Hello
I have a torsion too rather than curvature.
My injury on pain is on the left side but tje torsion is to the right (counter clockwise).
I would like to know do you still have pain and do you have plaques?
I could also not find much information about torsion, doctor said its better than curvature because it still allows sex, but it seems this is thr only part they care about, if its optically appealing and the human is happy or not, they dont care. My goal will be to fight and hopefully get rid of the chronic pain i have, and then get a surgery to maybe correct the torsion. But pain is my number 1 enemy

Yeah I still have pain, mostly after ejaculation, and sometimes localized to the areas of the plaque and the cords. Curcumax pro from Amazon helps me with pain. I'm trying to abstain from sex and masturbation now(easier said than done). The torsion is still there as well. I just ordered a PMP, waiting for it to arrive. Hopefully I start to see better results in a few months after mechanical traction.

orriw maybe you have hard flaccid?

Hard flaccid you mean that the penis is always semi errect? No i sont have this

Ok, I was just making sure.

And I'm not sure if we're allowed to post links here. Again I'm not trying to shill, just posting what works for my pain.

Try traction therapy with a gentle device like the PMP when your inflammation/pain has settled for a while.

AverageBloke... by not starting traction in the active stage... you are risking your curve getting worse with time. Also there are some studies that show traction works best when used earlier in the disease process

I disagree. I do not see my curve worsening, I just have indentations and some girth loss which are stable. Traction in the stable phase is just as efficient and you do not risk further inflaming the healing tissue.

Do you have any pain? I'm gonna keep doing traction, as my curve doesn't seem to be getting worse from it, though it's also not getting better either. It's pretty defeating mentally, taking it day by day, so tough. I hope I can see some form of improvement soon, that will push me to keep doing what I've been doing.

Which pain meds do you get and do they work? Ibuprofen doesnt have any affect for me. Which makes me think either i need much stronger pain killers or its neuropathic pain. Chronic pain is the worst, especially on ur F^@$!ng dick.
