Has anyone with Peyronies and minimal ED considered removing their implant? I had a malleable implant in Jan 2021 with the plan to remove that implant and have an the titan inflatable implant inserted 6-8 months later. It is already 8 months later and the surgery is being delayed due to insurance issues. I get spontaneous erections to a degree and get additional blood flow when aroused and are thinking of not getting the inflatable implant. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks

You must be joking. There is no way you can have an implant removed and nothing put in place of it now. If they just remove the implant without replacing it, it will cause scarring in the hollow chambers now and 2 to 3 inches of length will be lost. The width of your penis chambers will also become as wide as a pencil. Why are you having a change of heart now ? Are you not happy with your malleable?  Also, why dint you get an inflatable implant directly in the first place ?

No. I'm  kidding, you insensitive a hole. My malleable implant was the first stage of a 2 part procedure. After my serious peyronies disease and minimal ED, my doctor recommended a malleable implant for 6 months to allow for a full healing to allow for maximum restoration of length and width. After 6 months, the malleable implant was supposed to be replaced by titan coloplast inflatable implant. The issue I never thought was an a possible outcome is my insurance wont cover the second surgery. My first surgery was denied initioally but after I fought, with the help of the doctors assistants who handle this, they covered it. I now how have different insurance. Same company Blue Cross Blue Shield but digfferent plans. I can not live with a malleaable device. Nobody should ever get a malleabe implant. My penis is now just a thin, short piece of plastic. When I get aroused, I get na erection by myself when aroused, just not sure what it would be if I didny have the implant. The jerk off who answered this post has all the answer to my question about the result if I just had it removed, without any idea what this situation has caused my mental state. Does anyone have a suggestion for a doctor I may consult about my options to have the inflatable implant with a lower cost for me or help with insurance. I live in NY, but will travel if a doctor understands my problem and might be able to help

Tpat,
GaussRifle was only trying to help, was not being insensitive. You can't just remove a malleable implant. There would be nothing left in your penis to physically create an erection after this. And I hope your doctor can sort out the insurance issues. I also have not heard about having a malleable implant as a phase I and then to be replaced by an inflatable one.

LWillisjr. Thanks for the response. I didn't read it as he was trying to help, but I do apologize for my response. I believe my Dr. and his staff are not working  with my insurance co. to get this surgery done. My first surgery was also denied initially. It amazed me that the staff was just going to except that answer and send me on my way. If I didn't call my insurance company and find what info needed to be provided by the Dr. for them to approve it, the surgery would never had happened. I just can't believe the Drs. pre-surgical team never encountered a denial reason as surgically not necessary before and knew how to overcome that issue. Does anyone know of a great surgeon and team that will fight for me like they would if it was themselves that needed the surgery? I cant live with this malleable implant. I need the inflatable implant to replace the malleable implant or this will continue to destroy my mental health. I would prefer to see a doctor close to NY, but would travel if that is what is needed to fix this problem. Another point is, I have paid $4500 for so called girth and length restoration. Long story short, I wasted $4500. My current penis is just a skinny, shorter organ with a hard rod inside that gives me a very average working erection. Thanks in advance for any suggestions or recommendations. TPat

I think we are all shocked at times at the response from the medical community. We go to a doctor and have high expectations that they are giving us the best care, the right approach, and fighting for us from an insurance coverage perspective. I learned years ago that is not necessarily the case. There are great doctors, and not so great doctors.

We have an admin (Stabler) who has some experience working with medical insurance companies. Beyond that I would be looking now maybe for a different doctor. My experience is with Dr. Levine at Rush Medical University. I believe he still does phone consults and may be worth a try.
