Hello everybody

Since I begin to enter my teen years I became aware of my penis shape..it felt embarrasing and shameful, because of that I avoided ladies..I did have some drunk sex experiences but again more of blowjob since I felt that maybe I would  not be  good performer when penetrating,this penis gave me psychological issues and when I did try to have sex once  my erection did not last when I penetrated, I think they call it sexual anxiety disorder or something like that, basically opssesed with this situation.. and now being 30 years old and sick  of this  I visited one known  urology doctor in Germany to see what can we do, he told me that I have congenital deviation, left lateral, but that it is very mild, he did not even measure the angle..he feels that I should not do anything and that this is all ok and that actually the penis is  not normal size but larger than normal...his words are that he would not feel ok to perform operation because there is no need and that he is very much sure that I would not be satisfied after the operation with the outcome...The price is around 10 000 EUR, and he is not interested to take the money..so to my surprise now after consultation it looks like I do not have a problem at all and just the opposite a bigger than average dick and I imagined last 15 years that I have a problem.. Am I so stupid?

Mate, I had some mild congenital curvature growing up, and like you, was a bit self-conscious about it.

Penises come in all shapes and sizes, and I think any guy here would be proud to have one like yours. If it poses no problems penetrating, then by all means, enjoy yourself and forget about surgery to correct a completely normal human variation of penis shape.

It is about 30 degrees. Yes, I agree it is mild but if it is bothers you, then I understand you completely.

Plication with Doctor Gelman will have solved your problem.

Yeah, I know it is sounds like advertising, but Gelman is an artist. He was born with the scalpel in his hands.

PS. Gelman also have said to me, that if he wouldn't be the best surgeon for my case, then he wouldn't do the surgery.

Thank you all for comments..It is amazing how human brain can be noisy in judging, for example I was convinced that curvature is cca 30- 40 degrees, mst1622 thinks it is cca 30 degrees and the doctor in Germany,  said that it is 15 -20 degrees, which I disagreed but he was sure ..I think that the doctor is maybe right, since he is known and haves thousands of operations behind him..only thing is that when he gave me injection for erection I did not really achieved hard erection.. can someone point  me to the 30 degrees curvature?  I am aware that at the end it does not even matter, but I would like to know the bend of my curvature..

 Dr. Gelman uses something like nesbit  technique? mst1622 did you lose some cm?

I agree with the others above, your penis looks fine to me. They do come in all shapes and forms! Remember that no one looks at your penis as much as you do, so you obviously notice a lot of things that other people do not. Most women probably do not think twice about your curvature when looking at your penis.

Unless you have any issues with pain or other physical discomfort during sex, you might not need to do anything to change it. If you do, I would recommend traction rather than surgery as a first instance.

In fact, most Peyronies Disease specialists only recommend surgery if other treatment options have failed and/or the curvature is 60 degrees or over. I therefore think what Dr Gelman said makes a lot of sense - your case might not be severe enough to require a surgery and there might be a lot of side effects besides a straighter penis for you to deal with afterwards.

Remember that surgery is always an additional risk and that no such intervention is guaranteed to be free of side effects. Once you have done it, it cannot be reversed. Just looking at the summary of evidence, a Nesbit surgery results in penile shortening in 21.8% of the cases and in significant penile shortening in 8.7%. For the 'modified Nesbit', the corresponding percentages are 58% for any shortening and 3.2% for significant shortening. For plication surgery, the numbers are 33.4% in terms of any shortening and 8.9% for significant shortening. The length lost seems to vary between 1-1.5 cm on average but can be higher.

Do note that significant Erectile Dysfunction is a more common side effect for plication survey (roughly 8% of cases) than Nesbit (3-6%). Some studies have cited significantly higher numbers than these though, so think about that too.

I just feel like you should have as much information as possible so that you can fully consider your options. There are a lot of things you can try if you are really bothered about your curvature that are less risky for you. Gentle traction, either manual or by using one of the devices cited on this forum might be a way to go before considering surgery.

I didn't lose anything. I was 16cm before and I am 16cm after.

Thank you for this numbers, I agree that for severe curvature this numbers look not so bad,but if the curvature is mild and not causing functional problems the risk is just not acceptable, this is a rational thinking..but I should say that  we should never underestimate human stupidity

For now I will move on without operation and  try experience some new relationships..If the ladies do not mind it and I can have normal sexual life, there really is no point to take risk....

issue for guys who have mild curvatures is  mockery which can happen if the lady is immature person and similar, and this unfortunately can have big impact on  psychology,  I remember one girl, one/night stand and she felt with her hand in trousers that the shape is not regular, she did not laugh at me but stopped all activities and looked spooked..we were  young, but after that experience you start to think about it
