Why does inflammation in the penis last so long? What is preventing healing?

I don't understand how a simple very small injury in the penis can cause pain and inflammation that can last for months/years.

Whereas other parts of the body such as skin, acne, have inflammation that resolves in a few months maximum.

I've had pain on my dented area for almost half a year now despite the area itself being very small. What is preventing it from healing?
Onset of pain in March 2021
Progressed to loss of girth to dent under the glans left side

Been doing daily heat, traction, pentox, ved, cialis since initial onset of pain

Currently still experiencing pain and dent unchanged

Because you keep using it, most likely, causing it to be injured over and over again.

I think penis needs extended rest like any other body part,  but sex is so difficult to resist.
42, acute, began 2/21

Carnitine, CoQ10, arginine, 5 mg Cialis, pentox
Moderate ED, getting worse

i read that the irregular blood flow(when penis is flacid) is preventing inflammatory factors from being carried away
single, mid 20
diagnosed early 2020
indentation 20 degree bent to left, recurrence with new indentation below glans
tried vacuum device with no success

If that's true, then that would, I suppose, be another argument in support of traction.
51 yrs. old, multiple auto-immune conditions. First episode of Peyronies Disease in 2002. Recurred a couple times since. Over the years I have tried Topical Verapamil, Iontophoresis, all the supps and Cialis + Pentoxifylline. Still functional, always worried.

Yeah, sorry, I said traction but was thinking VED.

If the lack of blood flow retards or hinders the healing process, I could envision spending a couple hours a day using the VED to pull let's say a half-erection, then release. Then over and over again. Let's say you do that 25 times in a row. Seems like that would circulate a whole lot of fresh blood through the penis in a way two or three nocturnal erections would never do.

Interesting idea ...
