As you guys are aware, all fibrotic diseases such as pulmonary and liver fibrosis lead to the same end result which is fibrosis and scarring, reducing tissue elasticity and function. Researchers were able to reverse some level of fibrosis in the chronic stage after the active inflammation was finished in a fibrosis model using mesenchymal stem cell microgel, this is as special gel that enhanced the efficacy of msc unlike directly injecting stem cells. A success like this could be equally applicable to peyronies. Link to article - https://today.uic.edu/microgel-coating-gives-donor-cells-a-boost-in-reversing-pulmonary-fibrosis

Excerpt from article published on June 8th 2021 -

" This is really one of the first scientific demonstrations that collagen levels can be normalized well after fibrotic injury, and that the cell environment, not just the cells themselves, can be designed at the single-cell level in a precise manner," Shin said. "Our results suggest a feasible approach to predictively program cellular functions for desired therapeutic outcomes."

The only thing we can hope for, which is kind of brutal, is covid fibrosis side effects on multiple levels speed up the process.
31 yrs old
Severe congenital curvature. 3 straightening surgeries
Big lump/stitch w/ left deviation after 2012 surgery
Severe ED after last one in 2014. Still crooked
Slightly improved w/ shockwave therapy
Looks like only one side of my penis works

I think that sounds extremely promising. I suspect that true advances in Peyronie's will come only from research into other fibrotic conditions like this. There's just not enough research directed at this obscure disease, but at some point, a breakthrough like this will be applied to Peyronies Disease. Same thing happened with Xiaflex, which was originally directed at Duyptrain Contracture of the hand, which is closely related to Peyronies Disease.

Granted, it appears Xiaflex has delivered fewer real world results than we'd hoped, this kind of research on fibrosis is very encouraging. Hopefully, they are at least beginning to open the door that will lead to a cure for this disease. Years away, I'm sure, but it seems like they're on the right track, even with Xiaflex.

51 yrs. old, multiple auto-immune conditions. First episode of Peyronies Disease in 2002. Recurred a couple times since. Over the years I have tried Topical Verapamil, Iontophoresis, all the supps and Cialis + Pentoxifylline. Still functional, always worried.

if research focused on fibrotic diseases as a whole nd threw half the money at it that covid costed, it might have saved even more lives. even more provacative, with that kind of funding, many devastating diseases might have been cured or at least quality of life outcomes might have massively improved. instead, countries are going from lockdown to lockdown wasting billions and trillions of dollars. sure, covid is bad but it says a lot that technologies like mrna focused vaccines or anti fibrotic research only ever got much interest after this pandemic apparently. when is it common sense, when is it hysteria?

Agreed, scientist take a very long time to go from research stage to applying in a clinical setting and if a disease like covid was causing fibrosis as a side effect in parts of your body, then yeah we would have had a very effective treatment within 2 years.

thank you for sharing, the last one I read was about nanocapsules and ultraviolet light, I agree with you in everything you said, hopefully they move forward quickly.

Loss of sensitivity due to peyronie and circumcision  moderate erectile dysfunction, pain.
I improved the pelvic floor with kinesiology.
Frequent urination.

i thought the prpblem in peyronies is replacement of collagen type 1 with type 3 and no remodeling and loss of elastin. can this be replaced?

Just an FYI COVID is the biggest money grab by the wealthy ever known in history. COVID does cause pulmonary fibrosis, obviously the vaccine isn't working as shown by the reduced efficacy rates and the companies are in record profits.  The cures and treatments are out there but they waste too much money on bs.  Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy increases stem cell production by up to a factor of 800% https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6078002/

There is also renal and lumbar fibrosis, and I imagine there is more, and for cosmetic reasons.
I wonder if something would change if all fibrosis patients came together in a common forum to make "noise" and accelerate investigations, or if it is not necessary.

This is the only reason I haven't got vaccinated.. I don't have enough evidence yet that the vaccine would not worsen the Peyronie's.

If somebody suddenly modify Covid-19 into a skin transmittable disease that causes localized inflammation and fibrosis... I think we will have Peyronie's cure in no time.

I've taken the 2 doses for the Moderna Vaccine and I've had no adverse effects if that makes you feel better. If anything, there's probably a higher chance of getting irritation and inflammation having Covid than having the vaccine that would prevent it.

You know I was diagnosed with corporal fibrosis and said to only get pitched the shockwave by my scammer uro. The hyperbaric oxygen and stem cell is seeming to be blocked from access for large financial motives. Greed is the death of us.

I'm attaching myself to this thread because I feel strongly that this will be thread that we look back on as only the beginning of what will become large strides in Peyronies research, innovation, and attention.

Fix This

This is very interesting. Great find Gaussrifle, thanks for sharing this

So I just did a quick search for Mesenchymal stromal cells under 'shopping' on google and found this below

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154528449198?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkcid=28

So , if this is a genuine product ( it's ebay so I guess we can't be sure) , it would appear that we already have some way of buying some of these cells already. The listing doesn't say if its taken from human umbilical cords or animal. Could ask the seller anyway . I might just give it a go and apply with some dmso maybe

47 , penis trauma July 2018 leading to Peyronies. 30-40 degree dorsal curvature, narrowing after plaque.

I'm attacking it though, and I will fix this!

Fix this, you are welcome. But I don't think you read the article carefully. Just applying stem cells in the diseased area hardly does anything on its own. Your body will process these valuable cells and you'll pass them away in less than a day. The whole point is having a scaffold or gel like special structure to keep them active which is not available for public use yet.

There's big business in keeping people sick. Heck the Covid vaccines made record profits for all the big pharma and they don't even really work.  They don't want to cure us from many ailments.  We should be focusing on cures and solutions not wars and waste but we aren't in control so...
