Pain during errection vs flaccid pain?

What is the difference? Some (most) experience pain during an errection some flaccid.
I understand that pain during errection comes from the scar being forced to stretch. But what is causing flaccid pain?

In my opinion flaccid pain is worse. If you have pain during sex, sex is 50% less enjoyble and after that youre good. But people with flaccid pain have it for hours.
26y, injured at 21 :/

Reinjured late 2019 when having sex with weak errection.
No curvature, but rotation of the base to the left about 30degrees
Main problem: chronic flaccid pain.

I think it's simply inflammation, which is probably causing nerve endings to constantly signal the pain while flaccid. I'm having that now, as well. Flaccid, I can constantly feel the slight sensation of "heat" or "soreness" in the area where my nodule is. When erect, that area is sensitive to touch or pressure, but the "heat" sensation is not present. Probably because the whole penis and all the nerve endings are involved in the erection, sort of "drowning out" the nerves in the inflammation area. Just my concept of what might be happening.

But I'm confident in saying its inflammation.

51 yrs. old, multiple auto-immune conditions. First episode of Peyronies Disease in 2002. Recurred a couple times since. Over the years I have tried Topical Verapamil, Iontophoresis, all the supps and Cialis + Pentoxifylline. Still functional, always worried.

It could be several things! The pain on erection is generally due to stretching of the scar tissue. This generally subsides over time.
If pain on erection persists, Dr. Levine likes to call this pain more "torque pain" where your penis is taking a new twist force due to the changes in your penis and its making things hurt/uncomfortable. Both types of erection pain patients are recommend to do stretching/VED.

Pain while flaccid, especially early on, is probably due to inflammation of the scarring. This generally subsides over time.
If pain while flaccid persists, it could be nerve entrapment. Again, stretch therapy is recommended for these patients as well.

Could you describe your flaccid pain? Is it sharp? Burning? Does it feel like its coming from one place? Or is it the entire penis? Do you have hard flaccid?
26 years old. 20 degree upward curve with slight clockwise twist. Symptoms onset Dec 20.
Dr. Levine says it's not Peyronie's Disease but a slow healing wound. Saw him Mar 21 and May 21.
Traction (PMP) and supplements per Dr. Levine's recommendation.

I feel this flaccid pain since I injured my penis, however it is not always present, but occasionally it appears as if out of nowhere and it is extremely uncomfortable. Already in erection there is always pain.

I believe this pain is a complaint from the penile tissue itself that something is not normal in it, a kind of inflammation resulting from Peyronie's disease itself.

I've read somewhere on this forum that when there is pain it is a good sign, as it shows that the tissue is seeking to heal itself, but how far this is true I don't know, as it is not normal to feel pain forever as it is what seems to be for some guys with peyronie and i'm one of those because so far i feel. So it remains a mystery about what really causes this pain
54 years, self-induced peyronie
Upward curvature ~40º-50º, narrowing and retraction in flaccid and erect. Multiple plaques, loss of sensitivity, pain sometimes in a flaccid state and always on erection, axial instability and erectile dysfunction

My pain feels burning like a little open wound, and its very local a spot about 1x1cm size. I thought about traction but gentle manual traction triggered the pain for me and i got afraid. You talk about inflammation. Do you think i can fight this inflammation with supplements or proper food?
Soon i will visit a pain centre because this pain is chronic and is making me really mentally depressed. They may give me some antidepressants as they can help with neurological chronic pain and also to help me deal with it better. Dont need the mental aspect, i am happy if i have no pain, and if i have pain i am not happy its actually a very simple calculation.
Will see how that goes.

Any idea how to stop this inflammation? i am assuming food and anti inflammation supplements will not do the trick?

I usually get pain on a scar after a month of steady traction during erections. this has generally been a good sign, as once the erections become painless, the curve starts improving massively. i guess the pain is just the scar being remodelled.
