Devastated after driving 10 hours to see Dr Campbell in London

I have a  dent and irregular tissue underneath my glans which is very easy to miss as it is also under some very thick foreskin.
I ended up traveling to London to see Dr Jerry Campbell.
We did an ultrasound and he found nothing. He then proceeded to tell me my peyronies/Erectile Dysfunction/pain/denting was all in my head and I am too overtly concerned about my penis.
During the ultrasound I never specified anything or told him to roll back the foreskin (my foreskin is very thick and since the dent is in a small area covered by the foreskin it may have been hidden).

He seems to be a Peyronies specialist who worked under the famous Dr Gerald Brock and has done thousands of ultrasounds to give him credit.
However my ongoing pain, progressing to a dent in the past 4 months does not align with his diagnosis at all.

What makes me even sadder is that, my loving caring dad came with me on this trip to support me and we spent 10 hours on the road in really stressful conditions to get there leaving at 12 AM.
It makes me feel like his sacrifice to help me was for nothing.

I really want to push back to have another word with Dr Campbell as I feel like I could of done more to convince him
However am scared he will refuse to see me as he already deemed it as all "psychological"

Hi Anbil,

Can you please fill out your signature? What are your symptoms, when did they start, what have you tried? If you haven't, please read the following:

I would try out some of the suggested therapies such as traction, VED, exercise, and PDE5.  Give it 3-6 months, write down what you took, and then go back to your doctor.  Sometimes with young patients they are trained to dismiss it right away since most ED problems are actually in young people's heads.  You're probably lucky and any plaque hasn't calcified yet.  Please do follow the guidelines and give yourself some time; if it doesn't progress you'll have evidence to show the doctor which he will 100% respond to.

31/Single
Injury Nov 2019, bend 15deg, loss of erections, dent and hard-flaccid
VED, cialis 5mg on/off
EQ medium (with pills), no NTE.  Lost 1+ inches length, lots in girth. Some loss of sensation. Considering implant to restore full sexual function

I've been doing that since my onset 4 months ago, traction VED healthy lifestyle and PAV religiously

yes I agree the clear ultrasound plus me being a young healthy guy lead him to total dismissal which felt terrible given all i sacrificed to make the trip to see him

im not sure what to do at this point, I think I need to write an email and let him know how I feel

I will do that after taking the meloxicam he prescribed to see if it can resolve anything

Well... It's a good thing that you are here. I too have been to Gerald Brock in the past. I can talk about it if you want, but my experience also wasn't positive. In Canada we don't have much luck because of how the health system works. You need referrals and it's hard to pick and choose. Depending on how your financial situation is you can go to the States for care.

I haven't heard many if a all success stories of canadian patients.....

I saw Dr Campbell , I think Brock is retired. He saw a normal ultrasound and proceeded to dismiss everything I said

Which sucks but he also said that even if there was an issue there wouldnt he much he could do either way

Another urologist I saw, Maciejewski found a plaque but also just told me to wait because there is no cure...

Which begs the question, what can urologists actually do for us that we can't do ourselves? Seeing one seems to actually do more harm by wasting time

There is PLENTY you can do right now to prevent and recover from dents and deformity. A urologist is only good for prescription drugs and invasive procedures. All is not lost, you did well and checked off the box of seeing a uro. Very sorry your experience was bad but, seriously, even the best urologists out there can't do much and often do not.

Well then, you haven't read anything from me. Gerald Brock is one of the top 4 surgeons in the world. He has over 25 awards, has been published over 250 times and in an international professor of urology surgery. He turned my 1" floppy, embarrassing piece of skin and turned it into a penis I am proud of. I had implant surgery in March and he figures that in 6 months to a year I will have approximately 7". More talk and pics available. snippy1967@hotmail.com

@Larry

Top 4 surgeons in the world? Where did you came up with that measure? what are your sources for such a bold claim?

I would probably have committed suicide if not for Dr. Brock. He has implanted 3 times and I think he is one of the best Urologists in the world. He has been published over 200 times, won over 25 awards, secured hundreds of thousands of dollars in grant money, is a professor of Urology surgery all over the world and is the Past President of the Canadian Urology Association.
