Is all the effort worth it?

Hi Guys,

Maybe I'm feeling a little down about things today (?).

We are spending a lot time and effort putting in the many hours and months doing traction and using VED devices, often without seeing any tangible results at the end of it.

The question is, is all this time and effort really working and worth it?

Maybe I need to see a chink of light at the end of a long tunnel.

What do you think?

Hey!

My suggestion is to put a reasonable timeline to your treatment plan. As most studies for traction show, improvements happen progressively so you should know relatively soon whether it is worth committing to long term. For example, if someone were to not see any improvements within 3 months, it would be reasonable to discontinue since it clearly isn't working. At that point, other options like injections and surgery are warranted and you'll feel more comfortable taking those steps since you gave the nonsurgical treatments a fair shot.

I think 3 months is a reasonable timeline to start for a treatment plan. Take weekly measurements and pictures throughout the process so you can objectively identify improvement. The hope is that you'll see some improvement within the first month and that will motivate you to continue 🙂

The most time consuming part of Peyronie's Disease treatment is traction with Penimaster Pro (3+ hours daily). RestoreX (1 hour daily) is a great option to lessen the number of daily hours to commit to traction!

As far as whether it is worth it, if you can get enough improvement so you can have sex with no issues, then you can avoid surgery! Another big thing is that these therapies attempt to stop the disease process. Your Peyronie's Disease might have gotten significantly worse had you not began these treatments. On top of that, these therapies also can regain lost length and girth which prepares you better for surgery if needed (where some length and girth loss may be expected).

So yes, for those three reasons (avoid surgery, prevents worsening, regain lost length+girth), it is worth it ❣️

Hi Benraycamp0,

Many thanks for such a quick response and for your insightful comments. Its really appreciated.

I have massive respect and admiration for all the guys on this forum; those that contribute a lot and those that are asking for help. I suppose we all need each other.

It truly is a great support forum, probably the best that I've ever experienced (I've needed the help and advice provided).

We're all here for the same reason, and probably all of us experience the same ups and downs when trying to deal with this disease.

Hard to believe that less than 12 months ago I had never heard of Peyronies Disease and had very good sexual health.

How life changes eh!

This disease won't beat me or define me, but sometimes the long road ahead seems a little too long.

Thanks again!

Jamie

Jamie, I would kill to get peyronies at 56 and not 26 like I have. I know it doesn't make sense but count your blessings.

are you asking if having a healthy functioning dick is worth it?

if the answer is not yes for you then I envy your level of detachment from your manhood

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the messages.

I get what you're saying.

It's a shame there aren't any remedies out there that are quicker and much more effective, for everyone's benefit.
