Traction while I’m hourglassing?

My hourglassing is only in the semi-erect state. As I'm doing hand traction, my penis sometimes becomes semi-erect and thus hourglasses. Once I realize that I'm in the hourglass state, I stop doing traction and let my penis go 100% flaccid. Could any damage be caused if I was to do traction while my penis is hourglassing?
