Couldn't sleep tonight.  Of course my mind is still wandering about Peyronies and my recent injury.

Tonight I got my Restorex and I did 3 sets of 10 minute stretching as directed.  Everything seemed to go fine.  And actually tonight I was thinking to myself before bed that I had a good day, penile pain was minimal.

I took a low dose Cialas (5mg) around 10 pm.

Well about 15 minutes ago after laying in bed for hours not being able to sleep I went to bathroom to go #2 at about 1:45 am.  I noticed my penis looks kind of puffy on the left side beneath the head.  I'm going back and forth trying to tell myself nothing is happening but it is almost like this thing is changing before my eyes.  Seems like it's starting to swell more and more on the left side in that location as I look at it!

I'm feeling around down there, I don't feel a bump or calcification, nor do I feel pain.

I'm trying to figure out what is going on.  Am I developing a new bump because of Peyronies progressing?  Did the Restorex hurt me worse?  Or maybe the following is going on?

Edema from the stress of the pulling tonight with my first time with Restorex?
Also, the added Cialis is increasing blood flow to the already inflamed area?  I did not take Cialis yesterday as I thought I was getting too much effect from it yesterday (like over vasodilated or something) so today was my first day back.  Maybe I need to cut the dose to 2.5 mg instead or none altogether?

The right side seems unaffected.  So if edema why not the other side if this is from using the Restorex, the pull was the same on both sides of the penis because I was only pulling straight out.  Maybe I didn't have my penis properly lined up during the pulling earlier and this lead to uneven stress and now I'm getting edema?

The other thought slipped through my mind is if it is edema might be partially from yesterday as I admit I actually did some edging and no cum.  I'm not sure but I'm thinking about icing this right now as it may be just swelling also, looking at doing some compression wrap to help stop swelling if that is all it is.

Below is Clinical Summary from my visit to Dr. Levine last week.  I was going to wait to post this until I had the full report.  But I think it needs mentioning now:

•   Patient has Peyronie's like changes. There is irregularity in girth in the middle 3rd of the penis the most prominent 1 occurring over year ago he believes when he was over stretching the penis. He now also has a bulge in the mid shaft which on ultrasound does appear to be a septal fibrosis but not a cyst. Interesting I cannot feel that though in the flaccid condition. Therefore it is something that may simply organized and disappear on its own. His penis has minimal change with respect curvature there is no hinging and he has excellent erections.
•   Our plan he is to get him started on traction therapy with PeniMaster pro restart Vitaflux and pentoxifylline as well as nightly Cialis 2.5-5 milligrams depending upon how much erectile activity he experiences. Follow-up in 3 months
Age: 43
Large Indentation 3/16/20, lead to Penile Microfracture on 6/26/21.  Still suffering from large indentation, some wasting on other side of penis and large nodule when erect in center of penis (dorsal). Penis is straight & erections are good

It could be from the puling/traction or it could just be the bad nature of peyronies.  When you are edging you need to be gentle and not being aggressive. Let things heal up a while. Are you beginning traction or is your penis accustomed to it?  Dr Levine is my Dr and he is usually pretty good at diagnosing.  Starting traction is a good thing and he recommends the PMP.  I have been using the PMP for 8 months now and it has been helping out.  Be gentle though - marathon edging sessions will do more harm than good.

Thanks for sharing the clinical summary!

I think giving your penis a couple days rest is the best thing to do right now. It seems that this all happened right after RestoreX and could just mean your penis was irritated a bit and it needs to heal now. It unfortunately could also mean that Peyronie's Disease is progressing.

Looking at continuing traction from a risk/reward perspective - if your penis was irritated by traction, taking a couple days rest will heal things up back to normal. If this is the progression of Peyronie's Disease, doing traction for the next couple days won't do too much in the grand scheme of things, so you aren't risking much by waiting for a couple days to rest. So it's probably best to just assume this came from traction (since it happened the same day) and take a hands off approach and monitor things over the next 2-3 days.

Dr. Levine says it's not Peyronie's Disease but a slow healing wound. Saw him Mar 21 and May 21.
Traction (PMP) and supplements per Dr. Levine's recommendation.

Hi fellas,

Thank you both for your responses.  The edging was mainly done Monday night to get myself worked up enough for starting measurements, but I may have over did it a little.   Thanks Mike I will be extra careful going forward.   This comes a day after I was telling myself I needed to be extra careful with doing anything regarding my penis.

I'm just getting into traction. I briefly dabbled in it 10+  years ago when I was interested in PE though.  Dr Levine did recommend PMP, but I was really unsure I could meet the time constraints consistently so I choose the Restorex.  Now I'm thinking maybe the Restorex isn't right for me that this was too much tension too fast.   Maybe lower tension for longer periods of time is more suitable to my needs.

I'm going to continue with my oral therapies for now and not do anything for a little bit and hopefully heal up.  I will monitor the situation for changes.  I'm going to schedule a follow up with dr Levine soon. I'd like to have him palpate this new issue if it is still there and see what he thinks and also check on the original nodule in flaccid state and see if he sees any changes.

I did ask Dr Levine about Restorex. He said he did not think it would be very useful because of the short amount of time.  He said you need to really put in the time with a traction device to get results.

Also I'm going to wait and check my erection status in a day or two and see if this new injury has caused any issues in erect state. Is it noticeable, is it inducing any curvature?

The swelling/injury doesn't seem to be painful at the moment and there didn't seem to be any increase or hardening from last night. Last night I did take some ibuprofen, did a little ice, and finally slept with a gauze wrapped on my shaft trying to minimize swelling or disfigurement.

Still not sure what this is. I scheduled a follow up appointment with Dr Levine for the 27th. Hopefully will get some answers by then or this will heal before that.

Feeling the affected area today, it does not move with the skin.  It feels like a lump, not round more like a worm but very short in length.   Also it feels soft to the touch, not firm like the main nodule that is in the middle of my penis.

If this is Peyronie's progression in the acute stage wouldn't it be more firm to the touch and more round like the 'pea size' a lot of guys describe?

I'm going to take a sleeping pill tonight early so I'm not up all not thinking about it. Also I'm sure getting a better than full nights sleep should help whatever is happening.  Gonna induce erection on Thursday night and sed if this recent issue is causing an issues in the erect state.

Peyronies is a little monster sometimes and can be round and small, long and thick etc...I would caution you against worrying about this. Dr Levine may or may not be able to detect things now.  I would wait a while before seeing him again.  I do know he likes the PMP and believes in gentle traction. The Restorex can be quite strong in its traction from what I have read.
