I'm worried the doctor damaged my penis during examination

He essentially pinched underneath my glans and pulled it up while palpating along my shaft with the other hand.

He eventually reached a point which he claimed was "scar tissue" that was very painful and tender.

He assured me he would be gentle and he's a urologist so he does this all the time.

That area has been sore now after the examination.

I'm worried this could potentially worsen my condition as I believe I developed scar tissue in the first place from my own palpitation a few months back.

It's only been a few hours after the examination, I'm now thinking I'm an idiot for even agreeing to it and not requesting an ultrasound instead.

I have a few questions as a result

Is this common protocol for peyronies diagnosis?
Should the penis feel pain when being palpated this way?
Is it normal for there to be hard areas in a flaccid penis when stretched and palpated or is this scar tissue?

It's difficult yo answer. But it is normal for doctors to try and firmly squeeze hard areas to assess if it is indeed a plaque. It is normal to feel a little pain on the scarred area. I don't think a sinple check like this will worsen your case. It's just triggered the nerve endings for pain in that area.

Yeah, I'm assuming he does this with 1000s of patients so it would not be his fault if something happened.

I just took a nap after seeing him and it's still feeling a little sore, I guess only time will tell.

Do you take cialis or a pde5 inhibitor ? If you take one, I can almost guarantee it will help you.

Anbil: as far as i know and read, and others said... just examining your penis won't hurt you. Even if you are sore afterwards. I was examined by many urologists and even tho it hurt during the exam while they stretched it out i never got worse from it.

You can relax.
