He advised me to go on Colcichine instead (but also gave me a disclaimer that it probably wouldn't do much).

This immediately drew a red flag and it contradicts everything I've seen from this community as well as my own research.

How credible is what he's saying?

Was he a urologist or general physician? Could he be a peyronies specialist? Most Dr's are clueless about peyronies and it's treatment. I do not have any experience with Colchicine. The survival guide has more useful info in it that most Dr's are aware of and the forum has actual members experiences.
Lump 4/2020, age 62 , Dr Levine 6-26-20, Dors Curve 11/2020, Peyronies
Vit E400mg, COQ10, Heat Therapy, Penimaster, Pentox, Cialis, Restorex
SNHL 7/2020 - Stopped all Meds because ototoxicity  Heat/traction/VED are working. CPPS Diagnosis - Stable :)

I do agree the survival guide is helpful and once you start seeing Urologists' you can easily tell many are not Peyronie's experts.  However, in regards to Pentox & the Survival Guide...I took the study listed and I think the guide actually says (quote is not exact) "show this to your doctor".  Two days later after emailing the doctor he responded with a link of a more recently dated report of how Pentox is not recommended for Peyronie's.

At the end of the day he relented since it is not a dangerous drug...my issue is the Pharmacy had a difficult time obtaining here in China, but I think I recently found another source.

What is the healthcare like in china? Theyre no slouch in the science department and I wonder how much faster they can approve of things compared to the FDA.

Your question is a bit off topic for this string of messages, but I will respond before the hammer comes down from a observant moderator:).

I typically go to International (Western-style) Hospitals/clinics instead of locals.  When it comes to Peyronies I have not found anyone who is an expert.  The one thing I am taking advantage of is the TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine).  China thinks this is legitimate doctors and the schooling is real TCM schools that take years to graduate.  All hospitals local or international use TCM doctors....this is how they operate, they use the best of both worlds for a multimodule approach.  I am taking TCM for Peyronies and trying the usual stuff you see on this forum.

Anbil: have you check the treatment plan that Dr. trost proposes for treating peyronies?
