Age -64

Age at onset of Peyronies Disease / or I have had Peyronies Disease for X Years -age 30 or so

Very First Symptoms -erection problems--started losing erections during intercourse--started noticing a curvature in erect penis after using pump and cock ring

My Peyronies Disease progression, Treatments (in order), Doctors, Psychological Stages, observable changes -I have used the viagra, cialis and levitra to help improve the quality of erections--starting in 2009 I started using prescribed TRT--first topical oil--then shots -then cream--I am using compounded T-cream now and it is keeping my total T in the area of 800 and my free-
T in the upper 20's to low 30's--I use arimedex to control E but I no longer have morning wood--before I started the TRT my total T was in the 200's and my free T was very low   --this helped for a while--but the problem of losing erections during intercourse became worse with time--finally a doctor told me it sounded as if I had a problem with vascular leakage--he did an ultra sound of my penis in 2014 and said the vessels delivering blood to the penis looked ok---when he gave me the shot I did not get an erection for the ultra sound --I finally started using a vacuum pump and cock ring in approximately 2017 and that helped for a while but the problem has gotten so bad with the vascular leakage I have issues maintaining the erection even with a cock ring---needless to say my confidence has basically has hit rock bottom

Where I am today, future plans -I saw Dr. Lentz at Duke several years ago--discussed option of penile implant but decided to keep using pump and cock ring for time being--but the problem has just gotten worse over the last several years --I am scheduled to go back and see Dr. Lentz in August to seriously consider moving forward with penile implant surgery

26 years old. 20 degree upward curve with slight clockwise twist. Symptoms onset Dec 20.
Dr. Levine says it's not Peyronie's Disease but a slow healing wound. Saw him Mar 21 and May 21.
Traction (PMP) and supplements per Dr. Levine's recommendation.

Welcome to the forum.

The reality is you will get an implant or put your sex life on a shelf because, at this point, nothing else is going to fix the problem.  I think Dr. Lentz is a reasonable choice.  I think we have two other men on the forum who were implanted by him.  Hopefully, if you post on the Implant Board, they will respond as well.  Here are their journals.

Hawk--thank you for your reply.
I agree that an implant is now my only option. My wife has been great about accepting the situation all these years and putting up with me. We managed to have children and the last one is out of the house and off to college this August. I've not had morning wood now in over a year and the pump/cock ring no longer working just isn't acceptable. I'm going to stay on the low dose Cialis and keep using the pump everyday until I see Dr. Lentz.
I've been reading posts in the forum and I appreciate your putting these two implant stories together to save me some time.
I'll be posting questions as they arise and will put my experience with Dr. Lentz in the implant forum after my appointment with him.

The thanks go to the guys who made those journals to help others.  I just dug the links out for you.

I would use the VED very regularly to gain or maintain all the size you can prior to implant.  Any questions or comments on implants can be made on the implant board.  Feel free to make new topics if you like.

Good luck.  Your life is getting ready to be a lot better.

Welcome Lee1979 to the forum!  I can relate to your situation in regards to the hormone therapy.  My Test levels were less than 100 and Dr's said I was primary hypogonadism. I have been on full TRT for the past 17 years. I have tried every protocol and medication out there and was on Arimidex for about 7 of those years.  I did have to stop taking it because of joint issues and reduced sensitivity and morning erections.  I am on daily low dose shots now with compounded cream when needed and my morning  erections are excellent.

It sounds like you are at a place for an implant.  This forum is the very best one and you can read success acounts of men who have gone through with an implant.  I also wonder if you have looked into traction. I know that some Dr's have their patients use them before an implant to try and gain some length back before their operation.  Keep us posted and don't get down on yourself!  Things are going to get better for yourself.   (I also have had our last child just graduate and off to college this fall. )   :)  Mikrl7

Thanks to everyone who replied to my Introductory post. I'll be posting now over in the Implant forum with more information on what I've done in the past to cope and what I've tried. I appreciate the openness of the forum, I feel I can speak more freely.
I've never had a doc ask me to use traction-just pills for ED and the vacuum pump.
