Dear community,

I have problems clamping the penis-glans in the restorex device so that it holds when I use traction. The penis just slips out or it hurts, so both can not be right.

I think I am not alone in this. Therefore, my idea would be that those who have already found a solution for themselves, share it here - preferably with photos or links where you can order / buy the material.

Many Thanks!

Hi Pauly! There are several posts here with solutions that people tried for restorex. Have you tried running a search on the board?

Hey guys,

It's been awhile since anyone's responded to this post but I thought I'd share the technique that I'm currently using here anyways.

I had a ton of trouble with the device as far as preventing slipping is concerned. I'm uncircumcised so that made it more difficult as well.

I experimented a bunch and found a suggestion from someone else's post that worked for me:

SlimSandwich:
QuoteI use two rectangle cosmetic/ makeup sponges stuck to the top and bottom of the clamp with double sided tape.

I bought some makeup sponges (round or rectangular - just search makeup sponge or round makeup sponge etc in google) and did exactly what SlimSandwich suggested. Works like a charm. The makeup sponge's texture does a good job preventing slippage and is soft so its easy on the glans.

You'll have to experiment with the different brands /types of makeup sponges as they vary in size / shape. Not everyone is going to have the same sized glans so you'll have to figure out what works for you in terms of makeup sponge size vs glans size.

Hope this helps.

I personally have settled on using a lot of the Cardinal Health brand self-adherent tape that came supplied with the device. I bought a box of 30 rolls online, and have been going through about two rolls a week. My approach has been to use three pieces, each at least six inches long while unstretched. The first piece I apply is always fresh and somewhat sticky, though I often reuse the other two outer layers a few times. I stretch the tape as I apply it, and this makes for quite a thick wrap, even though I am spreading it out lengthwise as I go. Note that the clamp is flared outwards towards the tip, so it works to have more tape distally and less near the clamp line. I need to have the clamp set to the high position, and I often only get to the first or second click. I also use a sharpie to mark a line on the tape at the edge of the clamp, and also a small dot on the skin next to the edge of the tape. Thus, if I see slipping occurring during the 30 minutes, I know I have to clamp it one more notch. You have to be proactive to halt slippage as soon as you see it. Basically, by using lots of tape I can create enough of a cushion to tolerate the 30 minutes.

I have also settled on creating a small square of Kleenex, which I fold up to a .75" square about 16 layers thick, and place that over my frenulum. That's one reason I use multiple pieces of tape, so I can start with a short piece while trying to get the square placed correctly and establish a nice fit. The first couple of wraps, after all, determine where and how the shear forces get applied.

Hope this helps.

Hey,

I believe there are several techniques out there that work for different people, I have been writing about what worked for me but I will relay it to you in brief. I tried the sponges and the tape that came with Restorex but they resulted in some skin irritation and I had to take quite a long break.

My step by step guide is:
- Apply two pieces of the brown sports take that you usually buy for blisters and the like onto the upper and lower part of the clamp for extra friction (these need to be changed from time to time)
- Wrap the grans and the area just below with one layer of either paper tissue or two layers of cotton gauss
- Cover that layer in turn with 1-2 layers of thicker elastic gauss

This makes it less slippy and messy for me, even through there are a lot of steps. I also tried using this natural soap called heno de pravo on the penis to increase the friction, which worked quite well. However, when I got that skin irritation I also stopped using that, but might be worthwhile trying for you as well.

Good luck!

 Hey guys,

I too struggled at first with figuring out how to use RestoreX and prevent slipping, it takes some time but you WILL get the hang of it.

At first I did use lots of the supplied corban tape, wrapping multiple layers around the gland and went through alot. I purchased some online, but found it wasn't as sticky and didn't hold in place. I now use the 3M corban tape as it is quality and you will notice a difference.

I now only wrap the glands with a single layer but ensure that a wrap it snuggly tight, not too tight but you want it tight so when you clamp it doesn't become loose on the glands. Ensuring the penis is warm and not cold helps get into a good stretch and prevent slippage. Typically after 5-10 mins in straight stretch, I clamp down one additional notch if possible. If not I wait till in the counter bend position and am usually able to clamp down an additional notch easily preventing slippage in this position with additional traction.

It took some time, but I now have a good return and minimal if no slippage at all.

Remember. Quality corban tape. Snuggly tight wrap around the glands. Warm body/penis. Clamp tighter as you stretch.

I have zero issue with RestoreX anymore, and all I do is use one long / thick gauze, that is sold for wrapping one's ankles etc. I take the long strip and wrap it half way up my glans and below several times, not too tight.

I think it probably depends on the fabric and where you can go to buy it, but mine works damn well.
