Which device for larger glans? RestoreX, PMP or AndroPeyronie?

Hi All,

Hopefully someone can help.

I'm located in the UK.

I discovered symptoms of Peyronies Disease in October 2020. I wasn't referred to a specialist until April 21 (locum GP didn't understand the importance of quick referral).

I'm using a vacuum pump (SOMA Therapy) on a very adhoc basis.

I bought a PenimasterPRO. I felt I needed to use a traction device.

The glans of my penis just at its widest point is 110mm (4.33 inches) in circumference; which is 35mm (1.38 inches) in diameter.

I found that I had to use a double pump action to get the glans into the glans chamber of the PMP, and this seemed to be a bit of a squeeze. It seemed the edge of my glans had folded a little inside the glans chamber as there was a red mark that seemed to suggest this.

I contacted the supplier of the PMP and they noted that the glans chamber struggles with glans that are greater than 30mm in diameter. I therefore returned the PMP.

I'm interested in RestoreX but the manufacturer has been TOTALLY unhelpful and disinterested when I contacted them. They keep informing me that they don't ship to the UK as RestoreX isn't an approved medical product in the UK (!!). There is no interest to help at all, which I find very disappointing.

I've heard that some people have issues with clamping their glans in the clamp on the RestoreX. This seems to be a weak point in the design.

Before I spend a lot of money buying a product in the USA and finding a way to ship this to the UK I want to be sure that the clamp will fit my glans.

Can anyone advise regarding the design of the clamp and if this might be an issue? Does it hold larger glans effectively? Is there slippage? Is the glans at risk of being squashed, maybe leading to further issues of scarring?

Also, would a product like AndroPeyronie be a better option?

If so, how effective and how comfortable is Andropeyronie?

I have a pronounced bend to the right and also downwards, due to scar tissue at the base of my penis (right hand side). I also have an hourglass pinch in mid shaft area to to scaring in the shaft of my penis.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Jamie

Will this fit in the clamp on its widest setting?

Jamie it sounds like the Restorex could help you regarding your curves/bends.  I have been using the PMP and can't give you info on the Restorex.  I'm sure that as others read this they will chime in as to their info on it.
So you were too large for the glans chamber on the PMP?  I am also about 1.5 inches in diameter and
did have a little difficulty fitting in the chamber.  My glans would also show indentations and red lines until after many attemps at regularly using it.  It took me about 6 weeks to get to the point where I can put it on in less than a minute with no problems afterwards.  I do not use the supplied gel with the system but rather use Astroglide silicone gel.   I also use latex balloons instead of the supplied ones.  It is all about getting your glans "perfectly" inside of the chamber.
You should use a VED as this helps with erections/circulation and deformities.  :)  Mikel7

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your response.

Have you experienced any difficulties using the PenimasterPro over a period of time considering the size of your glans?

I'm referring to things like soreness, additional scarring etc

Regards

Jamie

When I first started using the device I got redness and bend lines all around my glans.  I also got 2 small
spots at each side of my urethra that looked like blisters.  I did not quit though.  My Dr said that with continued use my glans would get use to it.

I then explored other lubes for the glans chamber.  I tried castor oil and Astroglide silicone gel.  The Astroglide proved to be better at getting my glans in comfortably.  I believe that time and repeated use is all you need.  I just got a "feel" for where my glans is at inside of the chamber.

I can wear the chamber for 6 hours straight with no lines, redness, coldness or any difformaty at all . I don't even feel that it is on at all.  There has been no reduction either in my glans sensitivity. The system is quite unique in that respect.  I think all you need is time and patience.

Thanks Mike

I appreciate the time and effort you've spent in responding.

I may now buy another PMP.

I may also try a ResolveX

Cheers
