Can anyone tell me if penile implants can also correct congenital downward curvature complicated by peyronies ?
Can lengthening procure namely TEP ( tunica expansion procedure ) be applied to correct and recover ventral length without mobilization of the urethra ( mobilization of urethra carries risk of glans necrosis ) ?

I understand how over time in peyronies cases, the pressure expands the scar tissue and causes straightening but I dint understand how a penile implant can straighten congenital penile curvature ?

In a diabetic patient, even NVB mobilization can cause glan necrosis. I can't see how a penis can be lengthened without mobilizing the urethra.

I am seeking information about the sliding technique.

Gaussrifle....  Please have a look at the several diaries we have here that include pictures and read their stories. Yes, it does correct all that.

How many of them have you followed through?

Roddy

My whole implant journal is the result of my congenital 90 degree downward curve, which became worse after the onset of peyronies, being COMPLETELY solved by the implant of a Coloplast Titan.

That's great to hear Roddy although I don't understand how penile implants correct congenital curve since there is no scar tissue ? Do you know the science behind it , if so I am interested to know out of curiosity. Thanks.

Hi GaussRifle

I actually don't know the science behind it to be honest with you. I think that given I had a perfectly rock solid erection pre-peyronies that an implant was never a possible solution. Sex, although difficult and pretty much centred on only a couple of positions that were doable, was still possible so no surgeon would attempt to put an implant in a healthy, if bent, penis. The need for it came once peyronies set in and the bend became an actual 90 degree turn down the way. My dick was completely useless at that point and God love my wife for being so strong through it all. So, in short, I'm not up on the science of the implant as a solution to congenital curvature, although surely any surgeon who knows their stuff knows the science behind that. Do you have plans to seek out a top urology surgeon and ask? Good luck and let us know if so.

My case is a bit like yours where I was born with a congenital curve of downward 30 degrees, then I got peyronies and my curve worsened to 50 degrees. How much degree curve would you say you had before peyronies ? I am seeing a urologist at Mayo Clinic, Rochester who specializes in peyronies. I don't discuss implants with him because he has started Xiaflex on me.... I am hoping this would help me in itself..... but i like to be aware of all potential solutions.

It's difficult for me to answer that question without providing you with a guess which doesn't help you in any way. Better I've learned to work with facts where possible than guesses when giving people advice which they rely on. It was so bad I had to forcefully bend my dick back up the way to penetrate. I reckon that doing this year after year was the eventual cause of my peyronies.

GaussRifle,

Why does your signature tell us the degree of bend you have when semi-erect?  That information is irrelevant and does not help us respond at all.  As I looked to your signature line for solid info on your deformity and erectile functioning, Your signature line left me without enough information for a response.

I would suggest you go to the source and ask Dr. Eid.  Either send a concise brief email or call the office with your question.  I am sure one or the other will produce and a response.

Consider setting up a 30-minute video consultation.

The degree of curvature I mention is at full erection. My status might not be clear but I meant that there is hourglassing when semi erect but on getting fully erection I am left with 45 to 50 degree curve with indentation on one side. I will have a consultation bit I dont want to right now because I'm in the middle of xiaflex and hoping this would make me functional.

The Xiaflex is also not in your signature line.  I will fix it for you.  It the only way you can expect a rational response to your posts.
