Hello fellow suffers,

Having used, Pentox, traction and heat therapy. Have hit a brick wall. There's been no improvement in penile curvature or condition for 2 weeks. What is needed is a something to kick start these treatments.

Opted for keto diet and fasting. Firstly focusing on keto. It's been about 9 days since I started and thought others may like to know how embracing keto is going and how it is affecting penile health? If at all? Am intending this diary to be brief and to the point.

May 15th. Have just completed 29 days of daytime fasting. (For religious purposes)That's roughly 15 hours of no food and water daily. Penis responded by being loose, hanging low and lengthened. This convinced me to try keto and fasting.

Around may 22nd.
Started keto diet. Body weight is 81.2kg. Am slim and muscly toned. Also increased traction weight to about 700kg from 400kg. A big jump. Still no penile improvement.

May 30th.
Body weight is 77.2kg. undoubtedly that's a loss of 4kg of fat, muscle, and water. BMI indicates this is my ideal weight. Therefore, I need to increase fat intake to maintain this healthy weight. Penis responded to changes about 3 days into keto. With mild pain on penile plaque. Experience how taught me this is positive change. I imagine the plaque is breaking up causing mild pain? It's difficult to be sure the improvement is due to the increase in traction or keto? But it's too soon to give up on keto yet.

I am on the same path as you are, and curiously, experiencing some pretty similar results.

So the last week has seen many changes. My body weight has settled at 77.5 kg. According to Body Mass Index (BMI) this is my ideal weight. Am feeling healthy and clear headed. Well enough to introduce a body exercise routine. A few leg presses, push ups, press ups in my bedroom. Just 3-5 minutes. Had one session. Will do this twice a week.

Have managed to refine my protein/fat/carb intake at the right levals. In case you wondering that's 20%/70%/5% respectively. Overall body fat has reduced from 30% to about 20%. According to my doctor friend. This is a close to ideal body fat level.

The only concern is heart rate. Previously I have consistently had a resting heart rate of 57-60 beats per minute (BPM). Now that fluctuates. Sometimes it's 77 BPM, sometimes 80 BPM, sometimes 61 BPM.  Not good. It could be due to stress due to family matters. (My elderly mum is living alone for the first time ever.) In any case this needs to settle.

Penile health: For 3 days consistently. Curvature has reduced by 5 degrees. Given penis would consistently  return to 30 degrees. After a night's sleep. This is extraordinary. It has never happened before in the 2 years of pretty much consistent traction. Is this compelling evidence keto is having a positive effect?  Seems undeniable?

Am planning on having 2-3 days consistent traction. Then 1 day penile rest. In an attempt to try and maintain a 25 degree curvature for more days. (Normal curvature is 30 degrees).

Had to increase traction force to 1000g ( 1kg) from 700g. Just for 1 day. For there to be any effect on penile scars. Another first. Is this another sign keto is playing a positive role?

Penis has grown by .5cm. Am putting this down to the loss of body fat. Exposing more penis. Am now only .5cm less away from penile length from my 20's. No complaints there.

At this point. Can I state? Please be cautious if your thinking of taking up keto. i'v had light headedness, dizzy spells, a feeling of a weak body. These symptoms have settled, but are a concern. Please speak with your doc before embarking on keto. Particularly, if you a suffer heart condition.

It could be concluded. Scar tissue is tight traction force needed increasing? This was not the case. To clarify. penis was only 20 degrees bent for 2 days. Hence only a 1000g force would have an effect to add traction. It's a positive. Still this might be overdoing traction. Hence the penile rest and rethink.

Plenty of cardiologists love keto. However, fat adaptation takes time and your cholesterol will skyurocket at first as your body adjusts. Make sure you get enough electrolytes.

Purchased electrolyte sachets the week. Ingredients read 'salt, glucose, vitamin c'. Not wanting the glucose. Made a water mix of approximately 1litre if water , '1/6 teaspoon of Himalayan salt. Will add the soluble vitamins c when I get round to ordering it

There has been a threat of (illegal) home eviction. No doubt a heart rate of 89% and stress readngs (from my phone) at 99%. Have nothing to do with keto. (For the record: my rent has never been more then 2 days overdue!)

I needed energy to fight this injustice. Sadly, that meant suspending keto. At this stage. Keto just wasn't giving me the energy I needed. Started nibbling on carbs. Restricted to root vegetables and a slice of wholemeal bread.

Immediately, suffered a bloated stomach. Suspect its from the yeast in the bread? It passed. My energy level are rocketing, but my mood is not the high keto gives. My body has bulked up, but without the body fat. I feel stronger and more energised.

Prior to suspending keto. Started suffering from large bowels and constipation. Ideally need roughage that can be sprinkled on food. Will investigate.

Also learnt some carbs are roughage. Particularly from a nut. The carb passes right through. From memory it had 15g of carb per 100g. Can't remember its name. Forgot to write a note. Will research.

PENILE HEALTH

4 days before suspending keto. Woke up with a completely streight erection. 2 days after suspending keto. Woke up with a 30 degre bend and mild penile pain. Dissapointing, but am optimistic this can be reversed.

Also a big thank you from occom. For his kind message. Has spurred me to continue writing.

Just a quick question, did your penis condition get worse during the ketogenic diet?
Also, were you feeling weaker during periods while on the diet?

Overall, penis improved in length, girth, and deformaty improved.

Generally, keto made me feel weaker. I lost weight quick. Energy levels are low., But I had a mind high. Brain was sort of buzzing. As I mentioned earlier. Once I restarted carb intake. Energy levels are high. Eyes are no longer bloody. Body is bulking up. Feel I could punch harder.

Well, I've been quite good actually. But I'm not exercising much or going to the gym these days. That would probably show how truly energetic I am now. But overall I'm mostly feeling light and less bloated. Penis had also improved: Stronger and longer erections. Also less sore (unless when I am doing VED, but I blame this for the mild discomfort I feel). But no improvements on the dents nor on the lumps so far. But I am very optimistic.

Sounds optimistic. Stick at it. Am also experiencing positive results. As in my next entry.

The last few weeks have been stress overload. My elderly mum was illegally evicted from her home. Surprise surprise, from the same landlord as mine. What was needed is paitience support, and love from her son.

Fighting injustice meant maintaining keto took a battering. Sticking to it is sporadic. Sometimes I could only muster 2 keto meals out of 3 in a day, and occasionally no keto meals a day. Weight has dropped to 75kg. That's the lowest it's been since teenage years.

On the upside. A pattern has emerged. Every time I manage to stick to keto. Penile scar tissue has a tingling feeling. Positive heeling is occurring. When I resort to carbs for energy. That tingling sensation goes to zero. This pattern consistently follows my keto meals. There no doubt in my mind. Keto is helping penis to heal.

To preface. Keto, traction and pentox are causing healing. Pentox causes that tingling feeling in the scar tissue. Keto amplifies it or fires it up even. Can't stress enough this is actually a combination therapy. All 3 ingredients are required: Pentox to penetrate scar tissue, keto to amplify the heeling, and traction to reshape penis into a natural state.

Penile health: curvature is reduced to its lowest in 3 years. Flexibility increased.

In preparation of a keto reboot, and after some careful research. Have purchased pure our bran and pure wheat bran. Can have upto 6 tablespoons of wheat a day. To increase roughage into diet. Without disturbing a my bodies delicate keto state. Fingers crossed this will resolve all toilet issues. (Apologies beforehand for this crass but necessary statement. No more blocked toilet.)

If you can get that image out of your mind. Do so now. 2 tablespoons (UK) of wheat bran mixed in some plain yogurt. Makes a delicious snack. Need to research more recipes.

Of the 2 oat and wheat. Oat bran is by far more nutritious. It contains numerous vitamins and minerals, and soluble bran, but also contains more carbs. Will research limitations on dietary intake before the next post.

If you were wondering. We won my mum's case. She has her home back, but this was just 1 battle. A war is brewing unless the other party comes to there senses. Bring it on!

Thank you for sharing your story with us. It sounds like you are doing everything possible to improve your condition. It is difficult to say whether or not the keto diet or fasting is having any effect on your penile health. I can say that I lost a lot of weight with the help of finding the right plan for medical weight loss Bethlehem PA.
