Hi. 46 married (20 years) white male. Average height. Overweight. Small to average penis length.

Sorry this one is a bit long.

With a little detective work, we think my Peyronie's experience started about 2 years ago with premature ejaculation during intercourse with wife. It had not been a problem before. Started with a very minor tightening just under glans (head) like I was wearing a loose cockring there. It got tighter and tighter over 18 months.

Penetration sex became very painful and almost non-existent over the 18 months. My desire was there but pain was a deterrent. Became psychological deterrent to not even want sex despite being able to get and maintain an erection.

Being overweight and having a "grow" not a "show" 5 1/2 inch penis at full erection my penis almost retracted fully into my body. About 6 months ago, my penis nearly always stayed inside foreskin despite the fact I am circumcised. Then a patch numbness developed on top my shaft right below the tight ring. My cock would grow and bump it and I would have to manually push my shaft inside the foreskin around it. My shaft would go under the bump and then back up again to get out.

8 days ago I just have had a nocturnal erection because I woke up to extreme pain on my penis. Felt like it was being ripped and burned like stinging nettles were on the head. Even water felt like acid. I could barely walk because each movement hurt so bad (like penis was in a vice grip being pulled). Turns out my head was engorged with blood from ring and it wasn't able to slip back in foreskin because ring was so tight and it had grown big with erection. My shaft tried to retract inside foreskin and body but head was a full balloon. My foreskin would go in my body but a big bulging lump was on top and side under the painful head. Luckily I iced everything done and stayed in bed all day. It was debilitating. Look

Am experiencing the same thing again this morning. Think my penis got erect while sleeping. Almost feels rubbed raw. Every little twitch is excruciating pain. Looks like something from a horror film. Bruised and bloody like its been in a car wreck. Been icing on and off for 8 hours. Still won't go back to normal. Head shrinks then hits lump and then grows again.

Earliest appointment with a urologist is 2 weeks. Going to try to laze around today. Hope it goes back to functional without pain.

Thanks for letting me get all this off my chest. I'll update once back to less painful and what doctor thinks.

I've never heard of this type of issue where there is a band or ring in the skin covering the penis.   ??

Great question, Hawk. I guess that should have been something I addressed.

Saw my primary care doctor only about a month ago. Told him I was having pain but had not experienced the real painful events yet.

He gave a cursory exam. Asked if I had trouble urinating and if I could get erect? No trouble peeing. And can get erect.

He also did a prostate exam. Said seemed fine.

Recommended I see a urologist/specialist. Have an appointment for middle June.

Thanks for your response.

My guess is it my be the hourglass type thing I've discovered while getting up to speed on forum and Peyronie's in general.

Hopefully the urologist has experience and can help.

I have been running this forum for 16 years.  Between LWillisJr. and I, we have close to 30 years experience here.  NOTHING you describe sounds like Peyronies Disease.

Hourglass deformity is NOTHING like what you describe.  Peyronies Disease reduces the tunica under the skin.  It does not affect scarring or tightening of the skin.  It does NOT burn like acid when put water on the skin.

I would speed my appointment with the Uro.  Call and tell them to put you on a cancellation list.  Make sure it is an excellent uro or be making another appointment as we speak.

Go with a list of questions, and if possible, someone to write down the answers as you talk to him.

Thanks for your insight. It was a little alarming.

Based on the prodding of my wife, I called my primary and he will see me in the morning.

Luckily, the swelling finally went down enough and things returned to somewhat normal.

I will update after appointment.

Your primary care doctor is not going to be much help except to press a GOOD urologist to get you in as quickly as possible.

UPDATE:

Got to see a specialist finally. Thinks it is phimosis/paraphimosis.

The glans is trapped behind a scar tissue band/ring. Occasionally works past and then gets trapped. Blood flows to provide erection but doesn't flow to deflate erection. This leads to severe issues and should be treated in ER.

Unknown how the scar tissue came about but not the usual culprits of balanitis.

Surgery recommended to repair and restore function. Awaiting to get scheduled and performed.

Thank you all for the nice messages and information. Appreciate it and your kindness.

Phimosis and premature ejaculation are caused by blood sugar / metabolic dysfunction. Peyronie's is correlated with it as well, please be aware of that.
