Hello everybody! My name is Lewis and I'm 18 years old. I just found this forum and it's amazing to see how supportive people are over here compared to Reddit folks (god, what a bunch of angry lads).

Well, the main reason I'm writing this post is to seek some help. I don't really have peyronies (as far as I and my doctors are concerned) but I do have hard flaccid.

First of all, I'm a healthy kid, never had any type of health issues whatsoever, strong immune system, play "competitive" tennis five times a week, study hard, go to the gym, I'm Mediterranean so my diet is also pretty balanced, the only thing that may have become a problem is, well, masturbation. From a young age, I started masturbating quite a bit, as years go by, I start masturbating too much (2-3 daily) for a year or so, never did jelqing or any type of penis enlargement exercises, didn't even know those were a thing right until I began searching the internet, what I did was masturbating without any type of lube, maybe because if I stopped masturbating I lost it quickly. At one point, I get UTI symptoms, ignored them since I'm young and healthy and continue masturbating. Then, constipation issues that last for a week, ignore them as well. Then, as soon as I started the last years of high school, I reckon I start masturbating with a semi flaccid penis, it only becomes fully erect when I'm about to cum, I don't know why but I still don't pay enough attention and continue. Nowadays I have a beautiful and incredible girlfriend and, as we are about to have sex, I can't keep it up, I loose it fairly quickly, have soft glans syndrome, loss of sensitivity, weak corpus spongiosum, urination and vowel problems, no morning wood or random erections, irritated glans and so on, these are just some symptoms I have, I'm 18 and live like this, how lucky!

Before I forget it, I'm told everything that is happening to me is psychological which is kinda funny tbh.

This is all a nightmare, I've done some tests, found nothing, I've got to do a RigiScan test and a "cavernography" still. I'm going crazy over this, I've read a lot, found out it may be fibrosis of the tunica due to the damage to the nerves and the numbness, I go crazy, seems like my life ended here.

I know I shouldn't be posting here, this is a peyronies forum but it seems like this is the only place people will understand me. My family is quite supportive and always encourage me, tell me everything will be fine but I know it won't... I just wanted to ask, what do you guys think about my situation? Any recommendations? Any type of help and I'll be thankful.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Hi Lewis,

Welcome to the forum.

From what you have described I think it is unlikely that you have caused yourself serious or irreparable damage. It is hardly unusual for young men in their teens to masturbate a lot, even in excess to what you have said. So importantly do not blame yourself for any perceived problems as you have not done anything wrong.

Personally when I was a bit younger I had similar worries almost exactly as you have described, weak erections, numbness, soft glands etc. and was devastated and frankly wasted alot of my time fretting. There is, though you may not believe, a large psychological component to this and it is largely founded in insecurity. When finally I was in a stable relationship with a loving partner I found a lot of these issues went away, the numbness went away and as I became relaxed with my partner the erection difficulties eventually resolved to the point where it wasn't an issue.

From what you have described you have done nothing to cause fibrosis, it is highly unusual to occur in a young man unless there has been a significant trauma event i.e. fracture. Try not to worry because I really think you will be alright, just take it slow and give it time. Another point is you may wish to cut down on the masturbation as it may be de-sensitising you.

All the best

Andy

Welcome LewisHF!  Frequent masturbating is very common among young men so I would say that you probable didn't damage yourself.  You seem to be health concious which is good and have had some tests - so it is safe to say you have a urologist/primary Dr who has done these tests?

It is true that worrying and the mind will produce negative consequences in regards to your erections. This may be your case or not. I'm thinking that your constipation issue could be involved somehow. Are you drinking enough water?  How is your diet concerning fiber? Also you didn't say if you watch any porn or not as this can cause erection difficulties. I would try to backing off masturbating and see what happens.  You should have  a rigiscan test to show you info about your nightime erections - this may put your mind at ease.  :)  Mike7

Lewis,

I agree with the previous posts.  I want to add just a few additional thoughts.  Hopefully, you have learned a  couple of important lessons early.

1. Don't take your penis for granted.  Be kind to it and reasonably gentle.  A penis is a complex organ and not indestructible

2. Do not ignore health issues as you did your urinary tract infection and constipation.  When health issues come up, calmly get to the bottom of them and deal with them.

Masturbation of a semi-erect penis is not a good idea in the long run.  Remember that when you are 40 or 50.

When you are told this is very likely psychologically-based Erectile Dysfunction, here is a deeper look into what is being said.
1. Even psychological Erectile Dysfunction has a clear physical component.  The stress hormone adrenalin is produced (often undetected by you) from stress, anger, fear, and worry.  Adrenalin attaches to the very same receptors as nitric oxide (NO). NO expands the arteries supplying blood to the penis.  This means the adrenalin blocks NO, which is crucial in initiating and maintaining erections.  This is not just some strange interference.  Adrenalin prepares the body to deal with perceived danger by shunting blood from unnecessary areas, so it is available for the muscles to react with fight or flight.

2. Worry over anything, including your penis, not only blocks NO, but it becomes a cycle.  The blocked NO prevents a fully functional erection which only confirms and increases worry, stress, etc.

3. Psychologically, this worry distracts our brains.  It is proven that while brains can switch back and forth very quickly, they cannot think of two things at once. A brain that is momentarily switching to instantaneous thoughts of concern or worry over your penis cannot focus on erotic thoughts that initiate the entire NO process.

My advice would be to stop masturbation for at least several weeks.  While it may be normal, it is in no way necessary for any physical or psychological aspect of your life.  I would stop, so I gave my natural libido a chance to build and recover.  The result will increase all the mental and physical elements that combine to produce an erection.  This would also give your penis a break from masturbation with a semi-erection.

An added but likely not needed help would be to take 1500 - 2000 mg of L-Arginine per day (best if not on a totally empty stomach).  That boosts NO production.  Keep in mind that NO production is not likely your problem, and no amount of NO will work if you are distracted, or the NO receptors are blocked by adrenalin.

Finally, if you want to hit this from every possible angle, do some meditation.  Trust me.  It can be a great asset in your life. Here is the best free site around and is better than many paid sites.  www.insighttimer.com  You can use meditation for everything from boosting athletic performance to improving sleep and subtle undetected stress.

You are going to be completely fine, and you now know more and have learned more about caring for your general health and your penis than most 50-year-old men know.

Best Wishes
