Over the past few weeks, I've been using Cialis daily and that + my arousal levels from limiting masturbation to only once a week has caused me to get semi erections while doing traction by hand. It seems I'm at a bit of a crossroads here. I could either A. Keep taking the Cialis so that it gives me better morning erections or B. Stop taking Cialis so that I can do traction by hand rather than traction by device. Keep in mind, my hourglassing is my most prominent issue so traction by hand may be more effective. Anyone have advice? Everything is appreciated

Traction by hand always gives me semi erections, which is why I only do mechanical traction. Can you tell me why hourglassing is better suited for manual traction ?

I would not stop taking the Cialis as it is beneficial in helping your penis with circulation, peyronies , inflammation etc..... Traction by hand sounds scary to me as to how do you guage your tension level?

I'll leave any advice to others who have done it.  I didn't do any traction other than a few times between my first two Xiaflex shots

That's a great question I wondered the same thing. I have a very hard time getting into the penimaster if I have cialis due to limited sex at 27 and being on erection meds

I would do traction with device. I damaged myself with traction by hand a year ago and it still isn't fixed. Be careful, and do traction with device

@GaussRifle I'm not exactly sure why, I've just seen more reports of manual traction helping hourglassing on the forum than I have for traction by device

@mikel7 there is no way to tell how much tension there is, which made it scary at first. Now though, I've been doing it for awhile and feel 100% comfortable. Thanks for the response by the way

@TDix just for future reference, how did Xiaflex go for you? My uro told me that I can't even get it bc my plaques can't be seen by the eye, but I'm just curious

@Curve killer94 yesterday, I tried to use my VED before doing manual traction in an attempt to stay flaccid. It actually worked. Don't know if it was coincidence or not, but I'll post on the forum if it is a permanent fix (at least for me) to stay flaccid during traction

@1234 how'd you damage yourself through traction by hand? I'm really sorry to hear that.

Old Man

Hey:

Just my 2 cents on getting erections when doing manual traction/stretching. First, anytime you handle your Dick and start manipulating it, if your libido is good, you most likely will get feelings to get erect. Second, I would strongly suggest doing the VED from a "cold start" with NO manual traction/stretching. Starting the VED therapy will cause less libido to ''kick in'' since one does NOT have to do any stimulation of ones dick.

And, lastly the VED therapy if done carefully and NOT allowing extra vacuum pumping to a FULL erection will allow for a better after therapy traction/stretching session. VED therapy works best WHEN full erections are NOT DONE during using the protocols, etc.

The above is a procedure that I followed for many times when I developed a medium case of Peyronies Disease and some Erectile Dysfunction problems. It worked much better than doing manual manipulation stretching/traction to NOT getting erections with the VED, etc

Edit: After reading several more posts on the main forum I felt the need to add the following  statements:

Manual stretching can be done carefully. Simply just DO NOT PULL TOO FIRMLY OUTWARD FROM YOUR BODY WHILLE EXERTING THAT TENSION. AND, TO NOT MAKE CIRCULAR STRETCHING MOVENMENTS WHILE EXERTING PRESSURE BY PULLING.

Just let your Dick's feelings tell you when you are exerting too much pulling pressure. It will let you know that pain exists. So, bottom line, NEVER EXERT TOO MUCH PULLING PRESSURE WHILE DOING MANUAL STRETCHING/TRACTION, ETC.

@OldMan agreed, that was well said. I'll make sure to continue following all of those guidelines that you just listed

Stretching too much, too rough and I also did it when i was semi-erect or had hard flaccid, so be careful

Great reply by Old Man!

I'm sorry to hear about anyone who may have injured themselves by hand.
Personally, only devices have injured me, and that includes PMP and RestoreX, and I have not had an injury by hand even after nearly a decade. Everyone is different, so be careful and keep on trying new things until you find what works best for you.

MambaMentality

@NeoV right on Neo! I've been doing traction by hand for around 6 months and haven't gotten injured, so I feel comfortable enough to continue doing that.
