If I plead wake forest university to include me in their clinical trials and or give them 1 million dollars as donation, will they include me ? I hate to believe that technology exists but we are close to 15 to 20 years away to see it being fda approved.

Wake forest are going to start phase 1 clinical trial next month to replace tunica and corpora tissue engineered constructs in lab for 10 patients. If phase 1 is successful, and the patients show good response upto 2 years, the study will end in may 2023. Then who knows when they will start phase 2, probably another 10 years. I want to go to the team if phase 1 is successful, hand them 1 million dollars to replace my fibrosed tunica with my tissue engineered version. Why the F~@< does fda want to stop me ? I want a solution now, not willing to wait out my entire youth. I'm a virgin at 26, how much longer can I take this crap.

@Gaussrifle: do you really have 1 million dollars?

GaussRifle

No, but my parents do and they will readily spend it if they see me happy. I am only fighting this disease because of the love I recieve from my parents. Without their support I would be 6 feet under.

I would wait until they are done with the clinical trials and see what their outcomes are.  You would not want to be a statistic with a bad response and end up with no penis at all.

get a consultation with the doctor supervisioning the trial, he also does clinics. Then ask him. I'm a 31 years old virgin so I understand more than most of the people here.

Jack1909 may I ask you why you haven't gone for a penile implant all these years. I can't imagine staying like this all these years.

Probably because of all the other collateral issues I have been dealing with, as lingering pain. And also for the replacement need over time.

Anyway the guy is terlecki if I recall right and you can book an appointment straight from the wake forest clinics site.

Thanks Jack 1909 for the information.

I was wondering that the issue with current grafting techniques is mostly graft failiure and/or chance of ED or worsened erections. I was reading that cell seeded autologous tissue engineered tunica should solve most of the issues due to having native tissue properties and better vascularity. I wonder why no one researched this imdependently... that way it could have led to faster clinical trials.

Yeah grafting leads to ED mostly like flipping a coin, let's be honest.

it seems that there are several studying peyronie, it gives me hope.

Mayo Clinic also did some trials.

and fibroses are studied for different pathologies, I just hope that something appears in time.

If all the patients with fibrosis were to join together, perhaps we would advance the investigations even more

I was in a Clinical trial once for Accutane therapy in 1980 - I would never get involved with any tests involving my penis.
