No change after Xiaflex/Restores - what now?

I've completed the 4 cycles of xiaflex coupled with daily use of the restorex device.  Prior to this I was at about 70 degree upward curve.  After I am still at 70 degrees (by my measurements).   I have been in email contact with the urologist about my concerns (it was not the doctor who did the injections, but a nurse practitioner who did them) and he does not think it is necessary to do another induced erection doppler exam to determine if there was any change.  He thinks I should only see him if I want to schedule plication surgery.

I've tried castor oil and that isn't doing anything either.

to say I'm depressed is an understatement.  I do not want surgery (I was 8" before this, and I just can't fathom losing a chunk of that).

Anyone have thoughts?

I know losing something that you had is crippling. People can never fully understand this. For example when you start losing your hair people with a full head of hair don't understand the emotions that's come with it. It takes awhile for you to accept that you are losing something you had. Also for your example you are 8 inches. People who are less like 5-6 inches are thinking why is this guy complaining?! But I fully understand, you are used to 8 inches!! That's your penis that's you have seen everyday of your life!?! But to be completely honest with you. This disease is crippling. If you can get a healthy straight penis and not have to worry about it constantly everyday getting surge and losing possible an inch is the least of your problems. It may take some time to accept it and you may feel less of a "man" but being 7 inches and having straight functioning penis I would say 99.9% of the people in the world would be happy. But like I said you are used to 8 and I fully understand the emotions and depression that may come with losing some of it. But I still think having a straight function penis albeit alittle length loss is way worth it

Did you have an ultrasound done before your treatment with xiaflex to determine the plaque location and to see if calcification is present ot not. How long has your curve been 70 degrees. If you started xiaflex after years of being like this and the plaque calcified it makes it hard for xiaflex could work. I find it hard to understand how you did not see any improvement with restoreX or even xiaflex , many people see improvement with either alone. Only explanation is either the nurse missed the plaque entirely or the plauqe you have is calcified. How are your erection quality ? Also please update your signature line with your details including age.

yes.  a doppler exam was done, and it was not mentioned if there was calcification.   I was only told that the expectation was a 50% reduction in the curve - which I would have been thrilled with.  I'd say it happened really fast - less than a year , I think.   Erections are ok (other than the curve), and I don't need pills - though I have taken cialis to improve the duration.

I may be in the same boat with you.  I am coming up on a fourth round of Xiaflex injections, I have taken Pentox daily, I have used the Restorex device faithfully, I have taken loads of Vitamin D and E... I have a 65 degree upward curve and I used to be 8 inches in length and straight as an arrow.  It sucks!  I am waiting to get an official measurement, but when I get an erection I don't notice a huge difference...

Diagnosed 5 years ago with an upward curve of 60-65 degrees.
Completed one full round of treatments with Xiaflex (8 injections)  Measured curve 40-45 degrees after that
Using Restorex and took oral medications as well (Pentox Cials)

8 inches is F^@$!ng huge. I get that you are used to it but some people have just a half of that (4 inches ) or a little more (5-6 inches) You got to feel thankful. Plication will bring you down an inch but arrow straight.

The urologist said that I could expect to lose 25% or more.     Then again, they also told me the injections would reduce the curve by 50%.  So I just don't know what's the truth

Im not sure you are going to the correct urologist. I would advise to get a second (better) opinion.
