postrocker

Hi all,

Just to start, I am NOT trying to get full erections and I know they are dangerous.

Having said that, I think I can continue with the post.

I am having a lot of trouble to properly use my VED device (Medintim Manual Erection System one cylinder). I am following the instructions closely - I am shaved, pressing it against firmly my body, using the recommended lube, cleaning after each use, pressing the manual pump to create vacuum, etc. - and it is being impossible to create even a mild erection.

I am trying long pumps, fast pumps, longer pauses, everything.

I can clearly see that some pressure is created and that the walls of the VED get "foggy", so that's not the issue.

Any suggestions/tips?

1. Is it creating a vacuum?
2. Can you hear it suck air if you try to remove it without releasing the vacuum?
3. If yes to #1 then why don't you keep pumping more vacuum pressure on it?

i noticed that putting generous amounts of the lube on the rim of the VED and not holding to tight against the skin made a huge difference. almost let the lube create the seal rather than the force.

Hello Hawk,

Same thing markdubby described is happening to me. I have read the Protocol and know also not to try a full erection initially.

I know I'm getting vacuum and a good seal because I can't take VED off me even if I pull, and it hurts in my pelvic area a little.

I even let it there under the pressure for almost 2 minutes. My penis "grows" maybe 3/4" but it doesn't go more than that.

Don't want to over pump or wait to long. But don't know what else to do.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Why 2 minutes?  If it grows to 3/4 erection in 2 minutes then why not 10 minutes?

Do you understand that as your penis fills out that it fills the space in the tube and reduces the vacuum? You have to do additional pumps on the VED to keep the vacuum from decreasing.

No hawk, not 3/4, but 3/4" (less than an inch).

Wait 10 minutes? See, I didn't know one could wait that long with the penis in there. I thought waiting too long was bad.
I'll try and wait that amount of times then to see what happens.

In the protocol it says the whole process should last about 15 min. If I wait 10 minutes and do that several times we are talking of about 45 min. But I'll try that.

Thank you.

3/4" tells me little.  If you are a "shower" 3/4' can take you from flaccid to semi-erect.

There is no limit to how long your penis can be in a VED tube if it is not engorged in blood.  The only limit is to not let the same blood stay trapped in the penis for more than 30 minutes.  If you have some sort of blockage and it takes 15 minutes of slow steadily increasing vacuum then that's what it takes.  I would also try a milking action with the VED to help draw the blood to the distal parts of the penis.

You first have to get the process working then you can worry about improvement.  If it took me 30 minutes to get blood drawn into my penis then that's what I would do.

Never heard of that term before, but i get it :D. No, I'm the opposite of that. My flaccid penis is barely 4", and on cold days who knows. When erect it can go a little more than 6.5" (7.25" before Peyronie's).

Understood, didn't quite get that from reading the protocol.

Got it, and let me tell you hawk, you and Old Man are such generous people. I'm pretty sure there are more great helping guys around here, but so far you two have been invaluable to me in starting with this process. Thank you so much.

Thanks for the kind words.  We are here for you because as old-timers we know what it was like for patients before this forum was here to help.

The terms "shower" vs "grower"  are fairly common terms in the U.S. and common terms on this forum.  This is the reason there is more variation in the size of flaccid penises than in erect penises.

Keep in mind the protocol is a general guideline for most people and it does not assume that you are one of the few who have trouble getting blood into the penis.  If the longer slower sessions and milking action do not work there are other things to try but let's hope this gets you started.

Yes I guess I'm one of those, and it kind of points to a problem of obstruction due to the position of the scar/plaque being right under the glans.

I'll allow the VED to do its work for a few minutes and see. Thanks so much hawk.
