I started having pain in February.  My glans looked rough and I thought I had an infection at the time,  which may have also been true, so my first doc gave me a cream. Kept having pain. Another doc said prostatitis.  Then again at a follow up he said prostatitis. I asked for ultrasound, he said no not necessary.I was having sex through all of this thinking if it was an infection or prostatitis that it was ok to have sex still as I was told.

I saw another doc.  They said wasn't necessary. Dont know why your glans has an indent and if you have pain take a week off. I asked for ultrasound, she said no won't help.

I saw another doc. Told him everything. He examined me for plaques and said I had none. I asked for ultrasound,  he said no won't help. Take 7 to 10 days off of sex, use viagra, and take Ib 3x a day.

I knew it was Peyronies at this poin from my own research so I called my PCP and demanded an ultrasound.

Ultrasound showed I have two plaques, small and medium.

10 weeks have gone by and I feel I have made my condition worse by being misdiagnosed and refused ultrasounds and continuing to have sex. The pain was mild at first buy kept getting a little worse evem despite taking breaks until 2 weeks ago.  that led me that final meeting where I knew these idiots didn't have a clue.

I'm so mad and depressed. I'm taking Carnitine,  E, fish oil, coq10, arginine. I have a new appt with a peyronies specialist way out of town in 2 weeks.

What else should I do?  My erections are awful now and I feel like am broken.

Welcome to the forum Sanabo,

It is a shame your doctors are not better informed.  In the scheme of things, I am not sure earlier diagnoses would have changed the progression by much if any.

I see you filled out your signature line so you may have read the Survival Guide.  If not, it is an information-rich document that is a must first-read --->https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,3180.0.html
Read it more than once.  if you are married, read it with your wife.  Study the links.

That should give you a good base for when we talk again.  You are among friends who understand all that you are going through.  You can afford to relax.

Welcome Sanabo!  You are among friends here and don't be down about seeing several Dr's who don't have a clue about peyronies. Shake it off and prepare for your next Dr visit with the specialist.  Read all you can about peyronies and start making a list of questions you want to ask the Dr.

As Hawk stated that you should keep reading and by all means relax..... Don' let your emotions get out of control.  We have all been down the rabbit hole about this and we are here to tell you that you are going to make it through this!

Thank you Hawk and mikel7!

I have read through Survival Guide and I have an appt soon. I have a really important question from a detail in my ultrasound report. It said:

"There is a prominent calcified plaque along the tunica of
the corpora cavernosa on the right at the mid penis which corresponds to the palpable abnormality indicated by the patient. The plaque measures 2 x 2 by 1 mm. There is significant soft tissue surrounding the calcified plaque with the entire abnormality along the corpora measuring 6 x 3 by 6 mm. "

I am assuming this soft tissue has a strong chance of calcifying, so what can I do now besides no sexual activities to prevent that soft tissue from becoming more plaque? The 2 x 2 x 1 I believe is from 6 years ago when I had a "pop" incident and had a slight bend as a result but no other residual effect.

I am taking all of the supplements in my profile.

Should I ask for pentox, potaba? Begin Traction or VED? Take cialis? Anti-inflammatory diet? Hiudrid cream?

Anything else out there I'm missing?

Is there a chance I can stop this inflamed tissue from forming?

As indicated in the survival guide, get Pentox.  Don't just ask, be prepared to politely discuss the studies on pentox linked to in the Survival Guide.  That is why the links are there.  I would use traction also by starting out light.  If you prefer, use a VED instead or use both but read up on those boards before starting.

Thank you.

Can you recommend products for those.  Restorex seems to be the most used for Traction.

The two most discussed traction devices here are the Penimaster pro and the Restorex.  I have been using the Penimaster for almost 6  1/2 months now and like it a lot. I have not tried the Restorex.

I'm going to ask for pentox and order the restorex.  I like to know how best to do heat therapy. I've heard a sock of rice works. Is that good enough? For how long?

One last question. I believe continuing to have sex, I've eliminated masturbating,  has worsened my condition over the last two months.

Just like any other body part when injured we sound rest our penis.  Maybe this is why acute seems to progress badly for many. Maybe leaving it alone for a few months would low the penis to heal and perhaps avoid calcification.

Thoughts? I had great erections 2 months ago but I didn't kniw what thus was, told prostatitis or infection, so I kept having sex, even though much less.

There is not much clinical data on a lot of this but two things are generally known.  Erections (day and night) tend to be good since they oxygenate the penis tissue.  Physical trauma is NOT good.  If sex is limited, it likely reduces trauma and probably encourages more erections.

Well-lubricated gentle sex is probably fine, however.
