Ian, seriously, my surgeon told me, do not try anything until 30 days for healing. And as I have said, I waited until day 31. Lol
Stay in touch, keep us informed on your progress.
Did you take before surgery measurements?
It will be interesting to see what gains you have made?
Did you take before pics too?
It’s helpful for people not yet sure about having an implant to see the changes.

All Mr Fraser told me not to do was "fiddle".

When he said that I was 100% sure he meant the pump.

Sorry i didn't take any before pictures or measurements.

I would never have dreamed that i would have posted that kind of photo.

Now, it just makes sense to share things like that.

In my semi pumped up state it's about 4.5 inches. Plenty of room to grow i think.

Ian, I would read Roddy’s journal and use his as a guide, since you both had same doctor.
Roddy I am sure would be happy to chat with you too about it. He has seemed like a pretty good sharing type of guy.
Some guys hold back, like it’s too personal to discuss, but there are some pretty open guys on this site that are very helpful.
Best wishes and stay in touch for sure.

Ian,
Ugh, sorry for my last post. Wow
I am on meds for severe leg pain from ruptured disk in back. The drugs make me loopy.
Of course you know who Roddy is.
Have a good weekend.

The reservoir.

I've never had a six pack so no idea what that poor thing is attached to, however, should i see a lump on the outside?

Only when I'm stood up and can feel the rough outline of it.

It doesn't hurt (never has).

Could it be more swelling that still has to go down?

I am 5'8 170lb which is high for me.  When I had my surgery almost 3 years ago, I was 150, which is a little low for me.  I have never been able to detect where my reservoir is.  I have had a few little twinges of pain when exercising in the early months, so I assume it is on the left.  No other indication where he shoved it,

I just rang Mr Fraser's Secretary and I've been told that I'll be seen 6 weeks after the operation and not 3.

Oh well, only 2 more to go.

Roddy has already told me that his was 10/12 days after surgery.

I got the 6 weeks figure of Mr Fraser's Secretary, and she's going to talk to him sometime this week.

It may change to be sooner but I'm not betting on it.

Ian,
I think I would call and say why so long, since other men that had procedure, it was less than 2 week?
I don’t recall, but do you have a different model than Roddy?
Did you have a different installation procedure?
Regardless of, I would still ask why? Maybe the note your physician received was concerning you, but the physician thought it was for an Ian that had a hernia surgery? Lol
Maybe it’s not such a far fetched mistake, but physicians do make mistakes.

It could be because they are so busy. It's hectic in the NHS just now. A lot of firefighting going on. Record waiting lists. I don't know.
I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to slot you in.

Interesting you can feel the reservoir, perhaps hat will change over time. Can't help but think there must be a lot of tissue to form around it yet.
I bet it sorts itself out in the end. You'll forget it's there soon enough.

I ruptured disc is a hellish thing, steptoe. I don't speak from experience, but I've seen people unable to move from the pain. You have my sympathy. Use the drugs, the hell if they make you say silly things! It will give us a laugh after all.

Thanks for the concern Stepone. It prompted me into action.

I rang Mr Fraser's Secretary again and explained my concerns.

She's going to contact him now.

I apologized if i was being a pain but she said if there wasn't any patients then she wouldn't have a job.

Funny you mentioning your reservoir.  I can feel mine from the outside too.  I spoke with the Coloplast rep from my surgery and according to him it’s pretty normal for skinnier men.  Said it may have migrated a bit, but as long as its not causing pain I shouldn’t worry too much.

Ok that is definitely different than me.  Higher position as well.  I have a larger than normal bladder, thanks to genetics, so I believe in my case it pretty much pushed my reservoir to its current location.  It’s not visible, but I know where it is, and can push it from the outside like a “button” if that makes sense.  I was worried it penetrated my abdominal wall, almost like a hernia, but seeing your pics definitely changed my opinion.  Yours looks almost directly under the skin

Ian,
I am glad you are visiting the doctor.
I have never been able to feel my reservoir.
That seems sort of a high placement too.
I don’t understand it all.
Please let us know.
Prayers for you buddy.

Hopefully, this will turn out fine or be a very minimal fix.

I've now seen Mr Fraser, and he says everything looks good.

The reservoir isn't anything to be concerned about, but if I'm still worried about it he'll schedule me in for another operation. I'm seeing him again on the 9th July.

I can guarantee one thing on this planet.

Everyone with a penis implant has very, very, very short fingernails.

Having been off  for 2 weeks Mr Fraser had let his grow a little. With those fingers in my ball sack area it felt like i was being mauled by a Bengal Tiger.

He apologized though.

I can now start the cycling routine which is good and progress in the right direction.

I can have a bath now. I could have been having baths for the last few weeks but didn't know that.

I can also "play with myself", though no intercourse just yet.

After 5 years, what's a few more weeks? A BLOODY LONG TIME!!

Ian.

Ok. It didn't take me long to get round to my first inflation.

Lunchtime are never going to be the same again.

For my first pump i got to 5 inches. I'm thinking that's not bad for my first attempt, plus the fact that there was no pain (ok, i took one painkiller).

I'll leave it like that for about an hour then deflate.

I'll have a bath (yeah) after work and start over again.

Great report Ian.  This will give you some idea of how much you will improve and how your perception is off at this point.  I play guitar, and all but my little finger on my right hand has long fingernails.  My left-hand nails are trimmed as short as possible.  I pump up with my right hand. It never even occurred to me it could be an issue.  I remember seeing (I think in Merrix journal) a photo of someone with an implant literally bending their penis double and squeezing it.  I could not imagine I could ever do that, but I can with no discomfort.

I was thinking about you today, Ian, I wasn't sure what the verdict would be.
Good news on multiple fronts!

How did you do with your first inflation in the end?

It's only going to get better from here.
I bet a bath will help ease everything up, a bit of heat can work wonders.

Hi L.R.B,

He first deflated me which went ok, then he demonstrated how to inflate. There was a lot sensation going on down there and i thought my poor scrotum was giving up.

My feet were twitching, I was starting to get hot, and was feeling very uncomfortable.

Then i realised it was his nails.

He apologised and stopped, then i had my first go.

I failed.

I could feel a hard object object with a spherical bulb on one end. So i squeezed and squeezed as much as i could with no effect.

I was told not to worry and that I'd get the hang of it. I should email if i have any questions or difficulties.

He was going to try to get me a replica of the pump so that i could understand the mechanisms better.

Back at home i had to wait until lunchtime before i could try again.

That was a lot more successful.  I lay on the bed and started exploring.

I'm still not sure how it works, but some gentle squeezes of the bulb started to do the trick. Within about 5 minutes i had a rock hard 5 inch penis.

Not bad for 1 days work. I reminded myself that it's a marathon and not a sprint so plenty more inches where that came from.

It was odd going back to work (remotely) with my 5 inch weapon under the desk but i managed to cope for a few hours before deflating it.

There wasn't any pain, I just thought don't try too much too soon.

After work i did it again and that was much easier (and a little quicker).

I got back to the 5 inch mark then thought about a bath. To be honest that didn't do much for me apart from relaxing my scrotum and giving me more room to play around in.

I've been very lucky where pain is concerned, but i have been taking a minimal amount of painkiller medication. Half the prescribed dose to be exact.

I stayed inflated for about 2 hours and deflated before coming to bed.

Not a bad day I think.

Day 2 of the arming the deadly weapon for future use.

5 inches and a little bit.

I'm telling myself that the "little bit" is the difference between an "Oooo" and an "Ahhhhh".

I reached that length and continued squeezing the bulb but no further increase. Was pressing it for about 10 minutes with no perceived change.

Is that because:

 1) change happens in small steps
 2) that's my limit :(
 3) i need more liquid in the reservoir

Probably neither of the above

Ian.

Just catching up now, Ian. Great progress for you. I actually had a sharp intake of breath when I read about Mike digging his nails into your scrotum as he searched for and then squeezed the release trigger. I remember the agony well. Having never, ever, had an earth shattering hard squeeze of my ball sack before I remember thinking WTF as he squeezed hard! I think your post maybe confirms that deftness of touch is not one of Mike’s strengths 🤣

Great progress with the cycling. Also great that you managed to keep fully erect for 2 hours. If you inflate to the absolute max every day for as long as you can, I’d bet that 5 inches is nearer 6 in 6-9 months from now.

I’d take LRB’s advice about Zoom calls etc very seriously tho ... we all know that you sitting at the kitchen table with a full blown erection while working is for post-surgical medical reasons but I’m not so sure that would go down well with the dozens in a meeting with you!! 🤣👏🏻

I Pumped my own implant up the first time on day three.  Actually, I pumped it about 5 partial pumps and said enough.  The next day I pumped it about halfway.  On the 5th day, I pumped it up and left it for a few minutes.  I cannot even imagine someone else pumping my implant up the first time.  At that stage, that is something I prefer to be under full control of.

I took a few painkillers yesterday as men on here say things can be really painful.

However.

Today i haven't taken any painkillers.

Pumped it up to max at about 08:45 until 12:00
Then after work pumped up again at 17:00 and will probably deflate at 21:30

There's been no pain. Pain would have been an indicator to stop inflating hence i tried quite a bit but got nowhere.

There's plenty of great sensations though so I'm not worried i have a dead piece of meat.I

Ian--

Awesome!! Happy to see things are progressing well and you're learning your pump.  Must feel awesome :)

How are you handling sitting and working? Would love to hear more about this aspect since you're back to WFH pretty quickly!

Hi Richard,

I didn't work for 2 weeks after the operation.

Ok, most of us don't actually sit on our balls when sat down, but they do tend to be moved around a bit.

Since the scrotum is where all the surgical activity took place I preferred to lure on the couch.

Also there is a new artifact down there vying for space with two testicles.

After two weeks it was bearable sat down at a computer. In fact there was more discomfort stood up as the extra weight down there, plus the struggle for things to get into a comfortable position, wasn't nice.

Now about five weeks later i don't think about it any more.

My crotch area is always off camera so no chance of giving anyone a heart attack.

Deflating.

That's the one thing I'm having problems with at the moment.

I'm sure I'm pressing the top section (the none bulb pump section) as it does start to go down. Just very slowly.

I try squeezing my penis but that still doesn't help deflation.

There must be a trick I'm missing.

I've just realised something.

I have no idea what a deflated penis with an implant should feel like.

Neither do i know what it should look like.

The amount of fun and new things to discover with this thing appears never ending.

Ian, I think it is critical that you TOTALLY deflate and that you know you are totally deflating.  You were sent home partially inflated, which means your reservoir has NEVER been full.  If it scars in too small, you will NEVER be able to stay deflated.  Not only is this an annoyance, but it also increases the risk of erosion.

A new Titan, or in your case, a Titan-like implant, has cylinders that are stiff and very easy to feel.

They should feel flat with the sides of the cylinder touching.  They should have dog ears.

If you walk the deflated cylinders with your fingers, you will feel the folds.  They have pointed corners on them and are called "dog ears."  Look at the photo of the pink drinking straw on this topic.  It illustrated dog ears. https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,12308.msg113865/topicseen.html#msg113865

Ian,
Hawk is definitely the expert on this.
It is what it is, but at times I can press on the deflate button and it will almost click, but most times I never feel a click. But regardless of, if I squeeze my penis gently it deflates and I can feel that both cylinders will go flat completely, revealing a somewhat flattened penis, but it doesn’t bother me. If I leave it like this, it will gradually let some fluid back into the cylinders, giving me a slight chub.
If I press the bulb real hard to reset the deflate button, I still will get some back flow. For whatever reason, I have always had this problem.
But to be clear, it has never impacted my ability to have amazing sex after pumping my penis to its max.

It's always best to hear from the experts. Not because of any medical qualifications but because they've had a bionic penis for a lot longer than me.

I'm seeing Mr Fraser in 4 weeks so he'll be able to see first hand if I'm deflated enough.

I'm going to check his fingernails before he comes anywhere near me. I might even take some nail clippers and a nail file with me.

Just call me the Urology Manicurist.

Keep us laughing.
I wish we were close, not separated by an ocean. Lol
But truthfully I have learned a lot from going through this process. There are a lot more men willing to talk about penis problems on this site, then probably all other sites combined.
So yes, I have always kept my nails short, but I definitely keep them short now. Lol
My regular urologist asked to see my new penis last year.
He was sitting in a stool and when I stood up and dropped my pants, he asked if I minded if he examined it? I said sure go ahead. It was a little weird, it was like a mechanic checking out a car. Lol
With his gloves on, he carefully felt my balls, the tubes, then the pump. He asked a few more questions and I asked if he wanted me to pump it up. He said if I didn’t mind. It was like a show n tell…and there I was with a pumped up penis and my urologist examining it again. He said nice, the surgeon did a good job.
I said this is the tricky part deflating and I was able to get it flat, but it started filling a little, so I squeezed it down again and gave the extra pump to lock it.
I can only assume, this was the first implant he had seen up close.
But I have to say this, I feel a little more bonded with him as a doctor.
He also manages my testosterone replacement therapy and he keeps my numbers where they should be.
I am fortunate to have a good physician, I wish more doctors were as friendly as he.

Ian, one last comment, and I am going to drop it.

At least in Dr. Eid's view whether you are totally deflating is critical.  In a month whatever you have in the way of a reservoir capsule will be scared in and will only be altered surgically.  I can only hope you are totally deflating now for reasons stated in my last post.

I'm in no position to give you any advice, Ian!

It's grand to hear from you.

You know, this morning, while reading your posts I considered that I would need to take some nail clippers with me...only now did I read your last post!
If we all start turning up to every appointment with clippers he's going to be wondering what the hell is going on!  🤣

Once again, thanks.

It's taken me about 2 hours now to get to the stage where i think it's deflated.

Sounds a long time but it took me that long to get it inflated.

Equal and opposite force.

Placing my penis between my palms and pushing them together worked best. It's a bit like praying for something to go away that you desperately wanted to get for many years.

I don't think that mine will ever get flat due to the new nature of this implant, how ever it's the best I've been able to do so far.
