Cialis Question
« on: May 01, 2021, 05:34:36 PM »

Is Cialias used for Peyronies even if getting erections isn't a problem?  If so, I assume it has to do with getting more blood in the area of the penis? Is that correct? If it is, what is the usual dosage - 2.5mg or 5mg?  Finally, if Cialis is taken daily for a long time by a man with no erection problems, can the man become dependent on it in order to get erections in the future?  Thanks very much for the help!

Yes, Cialis is used for Peyronies even if getting erections isn't a problem. There is some scientific evidence to believe that PDE-5 inhibitors (Cialis, Viagra, etc.) may have antifibrotic properties. This combined with ensuring that you get the most bloodflow to your penis during erections means its a worthwhile oral therapy for Peyronie's Disease.

The usual dosage is 5mg daily, but people do use 2.5mg instead. In my doctor's opinion, he didn't feel that 2.5mg would do anything.

No, there is no evidence that shows longterm use of Cialis can lead one to become dependent on it.

Traction (PMP) and supplements per Dr. Levine's recommendation.

I agree with benray. I started out with 2.5 mg and upped it to 5 mg. I was splitting 5 mg pills and just decided more might be better.
